I would highly recommend Silverton, CO. There are some great trails around the town and the town itself is really cool. We drove up through Stony Pass last month to Sky Lake. Beautiful drive and to end at a snow melt lake was incredible. I posted a trail map in our trip report thread in this same sub forum. If you’d like me to send you the actual recorded trail we did, I’d be happy to do so.

Awesome to follow y’alls journey. Have fun and stay safe.

If you plan on being by Divide, CO

    Check out: Hacket/Longwater/Metberry Gulch.

Buena Vista: Mount Antero and surrounding trails.
Chinamans Gulch. If your in a pinch in this area, I will be in the general vicinity with the FS on Sunday.

Since your up in north of Denver, could always check out Red Cone as your coming down. Stay off radical hill.

I do some pretty stupid trails, but doing Radical Trail on a full width vehicle had my seat covers about all sucked up in our asses. Rolling over never scared me, do it on occasion. Rolling over and not stopping for 800’ or more gets the blood flowing.

To read this from a pro makes me feel better. I almost swore off the whole idea of off-roading after that one.

I may just drag @markus30 to Red Cone in the next few days.

This was a couple weeks ago. Plenty of Tacoma/Tundra/4runners up there. One spot on the entry of radical hill is a little rough for people not on 35’s and locked.

Today we made it up to the t-33 plane crash site on bunce school road. It was a little rocky in a couple spots but nothing crazy just good fun. Right now we are west of boulder in the national forest at another awesome camp site with a view of the snow capped Rockies and a beautiful sunset. Got some great pictures which I will upload once I get enough service. Tomorrow we are gunna grab lunch in boulder and then head to Denver to meet up with one of the girlfriends girlfriends. Then Iv got another 4 days to see how many more trails I can squeeze in before I head over to Moab. I desperately need a shower but other than that I’m doing great!

Just so you know. Gas prices may shoot through the roof soon. Saudia Arabias major oil facility was severely bombed this week.
