    I'm a bass player, but have a guitar setup to mess around with and for other people to use at my house. A 1977 tele through a 1959 5E7 Bandmaster. It primarily gets used to lay down chord changes on tape to play over when writing bass lines. The only thing I changed was brass saddles and a four way switch.

    Blackstars are cool and modeling technology has come a long way. it would be beneficial for a studio setup to have that many sounds on tap.

    also heard really good things about the Boss Katana series amps. i think Sweetwater's got the 50w for around 250$

    i'm mostly a guitarist, my main rig is a 1972 Ampeg V4 (Ampeg SVT's little brother), that amp will be buried with me. but i recently started playing bass for a buddy's project and scored a 1970s Sunn Coliseum and a 1960s Sunn 2x15 that i paired with a standard Ampeg 8x10. total overkill, but now i can pop and slap the audience to death.

    Hmmm......2 more "84's" just showed up on reverb. $430 for the rs440. And $935 for the 1300tr.

    Already have a 1300tr.

    The red 440 looks like it's pretty collector grade and I need that color. Not sure if I should wait on a price drop, make an offer or just snag it. Decisions, decisions.
