Looking at your seats, I actually do think the limited seats might be different, in the pictures I have seen they center sections on the limited look to be perforated.

Can someone that has a limited post close up pics of your seats?

    Ahhh, gotcha.

Damn, that's a clean interior. I don't know how I feel about the brown. I feel like it would be better suited for a luxry car or suv, but in a Tacoma it just seems a little off.

It sucks, because a dealer just down the street from me has a 2018 limited with everything I want, but it had the brown leather...

Yes, brown seats and interior accents are definately not my cup of tea. Some Trd sport and off road have all black interior, including headliner, its very nice.

I'm assuming those would be very hard to find.

When I bought my off-road a few years back I had high hopes of hitting the trails and getting into that kind of stuff, but I took it on a trail once and that was pretty much it for me. Not that I didn't enjoy it, it's just a time investment for me and I have other things I'd rather do.

The only times I've used 4wd were to pull people stuck in mud a couple times and I have a friend with a boat and I use 4wd at some ramps if they look a little sketchy. These days though I have to purposely drive to a dirt road somewhere once a month or so just to switch the 4wd on to keep it fresh.

I do like the look of the Off-road better, but I just won't ever use the features it has, and I think I'd appreciate the less aggressive suspension/better ride more at this point.

I think all trd sport/off road with premium package come with all black interior.

Im no extreme off roader by any means, but i do take my truck off road quite often to go camping, hiking, biking etc. Its great to have it in the snow. Also, like you mentioned good to have on boat ramps.

I drove my buddies off road and the suspension was really soft for my liking on road. When braking i noticed that nose dive quite a bit. I can see how it will be amazing off road. I like how stiff the sport suspension is on the road, feels like a sports car sometimes haha. Off road you gotta go slow tho.

A limited and a sport have basically the same hitachi suspension, the sports is suppose to be a little better but it’s still hitachi lol.

In Canada limiteds only come in 4x4 so it’s really hard to choose between a sport and a limited, they’re basically the same truck, sport just has that hood scoop.

I love my Limited. It has the black leather. The sunroof is nice, as well as heated seats, zone control for the temperature, intermittent wipers, auto headlamps, etc. I know you can a lot or most of this on other packages, but this had most of the stuff I was used to. I only use 4wd for skiing/snow and the occasional access road, but it is nice to have when you need it.

I really like that interior. Wish I could have gotten it in my TRDOR.

Instead I had to settle for the orange bezel around the dashboard. It’s not the same, but at least livens up the stark interior.

You can use the Clutch Start Cancel Switch to help you start your truck even though that is not what it was designed for.

Yes, I know. It's still just not safe to drive with a CAM boot on. Aside from not being able to flex my foot at all, the boot is too bulky to fit under the dash panel to be able to operate the clutch pedal effectively.

If you have enough clearance for the boot in the footwell, have you considered moving the seat up several inches to allow clutch engagement by just using your leg and not needing planar flexion? You may be tight up against the steering wheel for a few months, but if it allows you to drive your current truck... Now if the boot is a rationale for getting a new truck, carry on and post pics when you get it.

Never mind. I see the the boot is too bulky

Lol - I guess everyone saying that you can drive a Tacoma with a CAM boot on hasn't really ever tried it. If you are wearing your CAM boot correctly, you have ZERO degrees of plantar flexion. The soles of your feet are locked 90 degrees to your tibia. When I depress the clutch pedal with the boot on, the heel of the boot hits the floor and there is still about 2in of pedal travel left without any clearance to move my foot up on the pedal.

I bought my 2015 with the intention of keeping it for at least 20 years, so I'm not using my injury as means to get a newer truck. It just makes more sense to switch to an automatic at this point, and based on the cost of used 2015's, I may as well spend a little more and get the newer model.

    OME and worth every penny.
I would imagine you could buy an old beater for the money that's about to be lost on this transaction.

I bought an old Sienna for 2000 bux and have driven it for 4 years. On prowl for another cheap 2nd Gen one that can be lifted.

edit: yes, I put in some maintenance, Timing belt and the like and had to fix a big mistake I made fixing something but I bet I can sell and get back nearly everything i put in.

My last truck had leather and at 50k it had 1/2 inch slit from getting in and out . I loved the leather but hated the slit so went cloth on this truck .

I am well aware of how a CAM boot functions. However, I’m not sitting in your truck and can’t see the exact clearance issues you are having. The suggestions here have been options to consider before selling a truck that you intended to keep for at least 20 years for a few months of a temporary issue. No one is suggesting that you drive in an unsafe manner. Before I dumped a long term vehicle I loved, I would exhaust every other option. See if any seat adjustments would allow clutch engagement without ankle flexion, ask the doctor if there was a lower profile boot to use just when driving, swap or borrow a car from a friend or family for a few months until the boot came off etc.

To answer your initial question about the leather: it is the same quality in both the Limited and the leather option for the OR. It is mostly vinyl with leather just on the seating surface panels. It is reasonable automotive grade and holds up well (so far).

Regardless, good luck and I hope you heal quickly.
