I alway shoot for "very good" on the kbb scale. They never seem to want to give you the "excellent" trade in value. They have to eat too.....so they say!

So I have never owned a Tacoma before, but I did get to drive the 2019 Pro for about 5 miles. I definitely noticed the odd gear shifting. I drive my 2020 home and noticed that was gone. So they definitely changed something around with the shifting in the 2020s

Congrats, but holy f**k $43k for a TRDOR, I paid $36k for my fully loaded 19 last year. Man these trucks are getting ridiculous in price.

@TacoBuffet Does anyone else think that's just right now and that the price will settle for slightly lower than that?

He claims thats just above invoice, invoice must have jumped alot with all the new packages/content. At $36k my 19 Tech/Prem TRD OR Cement DCSB A/T was just at invoice, my sales guy is a close friend so he shows me the price breakdown everytime I jump trucks. But as you said prices will be high and whatever dealers claim as "invoice" for the first 2020s. I just couldnt imagine paying 7k more for power seats/LEDs/and some gee whiz cameras, which is pretty much the difference between a loaded 19 and loaded 20. Anyone know actual invoice for the 20s (not trucar, costco nonsense)?

That's great to her and hopefully a TSB for the 16-19 will be coming. This shoudn't be a con I can put down on paper when I start doing that between the vehicles I am researching to buy.

Thanks. That gives me all I need to know. Valuable information for sure. The Toyota of Orange fleet guy told me wait 3-4 months for a good deal and if you don't want to wait 200 over MSRP.

Gotcha so he probably meant $43k OTD since invoice is $40k, still a good jump over a loaded 19 invoice.

Here is invoice in case you wanted to see it if you you got an off road with leather fully loaded at 36k that’s amazing since they start at 34k bone dry E6F76195-E36B-46F2-97ED-FCACD2D7E238.jpg

It may help with trade in value? If the price of a new one jumps like this then the 2016-2019's can probably get a premium as a certified Tacoma. Just spit balling here a bit.

19 not 20, was just curious what a loaded 20 invoice price was.

@TacoBuffet Didnt even think about that. So true. I know our economy is doing well, but there will be people who are not willing to pay what they are asking for these 2020s and go for a used one on the aftermarket
