Made this mount today. Had the extinguisher on the bench for a while and finally got to it.

Only way to do that would be to do a three way switch where one of the “on’s” is tied to your hibeams, assuming your hi beams and truck has that system already (don’t know the options these third gens have)

Look into backup lights on with reverse or on a switch. I believe you need a relay that has a 87a and 87b and your 87b would be the hibeams. This is off the top of my head so double check it lol

Edit. Instead of a 12v from your reverse you would tie it in via your hibeams.

I would expect you to have a better eye than that!

It’s on the driver side. Sits under my legs and is easy and quick to get out in case of emergency.

While sitting in the seat you cannot see it. If it were to blow the seat may protect it but considering the one in the back of the truck hasn’t exploded I’m not too worried.

Yes, you owe it to your unborn children...or cheap vasectomy. Your call lol

Free vasectomy and a cool story or kids and less money for truck stuff. Hmmmm.

I’ll get back to you. The thought of having my berries blown off is kinda searing me to the kids but the free facto, cool story, and more truck parts ....tough call.

I’ve got more kids than you, but a truck that is way less cool.

While chewin’ on that free vasectomy, consider that children also consume your truck parts install time. Forget wrenching during daylight hours when stores are open to buy that last 100ml of brake fluid, or a 15.3mm crowfoot wrench, or something else ridiculous.

Didn't know the 2018 came with said feature lol.

You could do it with relays but you'd need your HighBeam on as well at the same time

Could also do it with a relay. But need a kill switch in line.

Power from high beam energizes coil, using the normally open terminal. That way when HighBeam drops out it stops the relay on the light bar.

So basically your switch for said light bar goes to the normally open terminal of the relay and the other normally open terminal goes to the coil of your light bar relay.

The kill switch would need to be used if you want to have control over the light bar with high beams off.

Or do it the old fashioned way and just turn it off when you see headlights coming your way. And be alert and not a cunt that blinds oncoming cars

I didn't know about the feature either, until I hit the button with my knee a few times getting in the truck, then I looked in the manual to see what the button did.

Could use a relay. Would be easier to just tap into the hibeam switch and then put it to the spdt switch. Both works.
