We just did Mosquito Pass yesterday in our 2017 Taco. It's still all stock, but I bottomed out in a number of places getting over rocks on the trail. Beautiful day to cross over the pass. I had my son get our in several places to spot me. We drove from east to west, Alma to Leadville. Ran the first part of the trail up to the London Mine w/o airing down, then air'd down to 25 psi. Made a huge improvement. Not too many people up there, so it made for a perfect day out wheeling. I'd definitely run the pass again in the truck w/o any modifications. Just need to take it slow and calculated. I highly recommend it.

Congrats! That’s an amazing location! Now who is going to photoshop your truck on top of the rocks in the background?

Oh, it can run either cat or deere controls. I run it with cat controls.

Boy, everyone needs their own thread to ask something. Gone are the old days were people just understood the sticky threads are for asking this stuff.

Cat always messes me up. I've learned that a lot of them can be swapped though.

Also, you should be aware that Deere=SAE = society of automotive engineers=American.
And cat= ISO = international standards organization= communism

    I was thinking more of SAE= oil and ISO=iPhone o_O :D

Deere’s are great new but give me a year pushing them and they loose speed and power. The cats on the other hand can handle everything I throw at them year after year. Cats never let me down. I can push a piece of equipment like no other. I usually burn through 100 gals of fuel in 12-13 hrs on a busy day.

I don't know enough to care about the brand of equipment. Just talking about the controls. I think even most of the CAT equipment can be switched to SAE can't it?

Only cat equipment I came across that can be swapped is a back hoe. But not an excavator.

You should see the Ih8mud gx470 forum. It is amazing how many new threads there are with stuff that has already been discussed
