BUYER BEWARE: 3rd Gen Plug-N-Play Tailgate Bolt-N-Lock & Tailgate Bolt-N-Open

Thanks guys I really appreciate the kind words. I really do try to communicate the best I can. I do get busy at work and sometimes it makes it extremely difficult. Plus I am also trying to move all of my projects from MESO’s vendor to my own vendor. I had some with my vendor and then there were some with his. So I’m in the process of moving them all with mine to make it easier on me and him. There will be a couple I stay with him but for the most part, I’m trying to get everything pre-made now because it would be nice to have quick shipments and to be able to grab and go. I’m also looking to get everything matching. From the Actuators, to the Integrated Harnesses, to my PNP Harnesses. My vendors have everything I need and they are also super quick. They have already made 200 of my 3rd Gen Tacoma Lock PNP Harnesses. They are currently working on 200 of my Integrated Tailgate Lock Harnesses. Yes Tailgate Lock Harnesses. They will now be pre-made just like my Tailgate Opener Integrated Harnesses. Here are the pics...

The actual PNP Harness will be made with Black Wires in place of the Orange.



Integrated Tailgate Lock Harnesses



These are 19.5ft long. I madd them with plenty of length people Cab Side 6” and Tailgate Side 12” Connections with Bare Wires. I like that better personally so I went back to that.

Then they both tie to the Actuator...



If you look closely, all the connectors are the same now.



I will also be using Heat Shrink Around the Actuator when my Vendor sends me the Harnesses. This will also allow me to adjust the Tailgate Opener Harnesses. I will be looking into making the Wire Colors Different and Color Coordinating with the PNP Harness and DSIM’s Module.



It will have the same Connectors as above, not the Blue and Red. However, this change will not come until I run out of Harnesses. Therefore, it will be a little awhile for this one.

I will also be connecting with some other Generations.

I also have some stock of White CH4X4 Custom Toyota Small Momentary Tailgate Push Button Switches



So now you can pick between White or Blue Backlit LED Options. They both are in Stock.

 

A-Harness/Module give the 3x unlock functionality out of the box. B-Harness adds the push button, interlocks, and valet mode options of the module. B-Harnesses should be available the week of the 23rd.

I just received my kit from KTJO 4X4, and I expected it to be nice, but it certainly exceeded my expectations. I really appreciate all the work that went into creating a complete system. The seller was super easy to work with, and my transaction went great.
It disappoints me to hear that there are customers mistreating this contributor to the forum. I'm hoping if anyone reading this has a hiccup on an order, they error on the side of patience, calm, and giving the benefit of the doubt. I believe most of those coming up with innovative accessories for our trucks are good people and deserve our good behavior. Although my transaction was flawless, there are many opportunities for things to not be perfect. If we are polite and patient, I believe the sellers will do their best to make us happy.

Is the BNL wiring harness supposed to have the female butt connectors attached?

UPDATE:

I have been sent this photo from some Tundra Folks and I’m trying to get an actual OEM Part No. so I can see about offering it in our Kit or at least having it as an option for Customers. You would just simply replace your other Wire Protector.

If you are receiving your complete full package from me this week you probably will not have butt connectors on your integrated harness. Please message me and I will get those out to you as soon as possible.

Two things:

First, you rock for correcting this trivial oversight.

Second, I would have gladly used the connectors that I already have in my garage if you had let me know they were missing. I’m out of town for about a week and I haven’t even opened the package yet. Again, see the first point.

UPDATE:

A little update on the weekend...well all I can say is WOW! I didn’t get to everything I wanted to get to but I did get to a lot I guess. Here’s a little breakdown:

1. Put together 50 DIY 3rd Gen Tacoma Power Folding Mirror Kits so they are ready to go for the OFFICIAL RELEASE that is right around the corner. Final harness is expected to arrive on Wednesday. Then I just need to pack that in the shipping boxes as well. I’d like to get the install YouTube video done prior release but I’m not sure if that will happen so I may need to finish the install guide and use that to start and then just have the YouTube video come out when it comes out. The person doing it is beyond busy right now and I totally understand.
2. Put 12 little packages together of 4 Butt Connectors to ship out...ugh. So sorry again.
3. Just finished 8 TAILGATE LOCK COMPLETE FULL PACKAGES to ship out tomorrow!
4. Then I did some testing with a harness of some sort on a 2nd Gen Tundra that I’m really really close to revealing for both the Tacoma and Tundra.
5. Created sample PNP Harnesses for the PLUG-N-PLAY POWER TAILGATE LOCK for 3rd Gen Tundra, 2nd Gen Tundra, 3rd Gen Tacoma, 2nd Gen Tacoma (1 year, but not the earliest), and Power Folding Mirror PNP Harness for the 4Runners.
6. Ordered 200 sets for the 3rd Gen Tacoma and they have already been shipped and are on their way. It will be nice to be able to ship orders right away. Grab and go!

What I didn’t get to that I wanted to this weekend:

1. Mailing out the TAILGATE OPENER COMPLETE FULL PACKAGE ORDERS. I will have to do that tomorrow night and the next.
2. Finish installing my Camera Harness so I can create the New Thread for it and release it to everyone!!!! BIG ONE!!!
3. Looking to develop website!!!
4. Need to get an update on Inverter Order. Ugh!
