Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
yeah, people don't realize a name brand bike from wal mart is just a bike built for wal mart, to wal marts specs, and then wal mart pays to slap a name brand sticker on the bike.
I do not shop at wal mart, for anything.

On a side note, i am excited to get out and ride again!

I have a question for you guys, I am looking at getting a good mountain bike under $1000

Right now I have a norco katmandu with dirt jumpers and shimano deore hydraulic breaks, so I think I may want to keep the breaks off my old bike.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be the best bang for my buck in this price range? I am sick of my heavy katmandu and want something that has a higher seat and light weight frame.

It really depends on what kind of riding you'll be doing. If you want quality and light weight, you'll need to go with a front suspension only. OR...you could buy a really good, high quality frame or frame/fork combo and put your components on it.

I was looking at the rincon x2 last night it was nice, I am looking to do mostly trail riding, we have some hills with trails in them around here, not going to be jumping, but will be doing some down hill. the down hill wont be steep but I do like going fast :)

I also looked at giant frames, but they were starting really expensive, seemed Like they only sold the high end ones separately like that.

I got mine for 400.. .its served me very well. I do a good amount of trail riding, not so much downhill. I jump a good bit, and this bike seems to handle it. Its the best bang for the buck bike with all the components you get on it for under 500. Plus they look freekin sweet!!!

Here' my '06 Trek 6500 Disc. Just washed/waxed it today and got it ready by lubing the chain, etc. I don't do all of the crazy stuff you guys do, mostly trail riding with friends. Just wanted a nice front suspension bike that would hold up well, and this has! Love this bike. :)

Time for a new build. Frame up, On-one 456, full SLX drivetrain, Avid BB7 or drop some more coin on Magura FR hyrdos, re-use 4" Marzocchi fork or RS Pike and SUV wheelset. Steel is real!!!!!
