so yesterday i was coming off the freeway doing about 60, i pushed the clutch in and pulled the truck out of gear and just coasted to the light. before i got to the light i noticed all dash lights were on (as if i had just turned to accesory) then i look at my rpms and they were at 0. i did just chang my alternator about a week ago or so, the truck hasnt done it again...anyone have an idea as to why it did that?

Doubt the alternator install had anything to do with it, you'd have known any issues right away I'd think. When I had manual shifts in the past once in awhile coming off the freeway I'd do the same thing (put it in neutral & coast) & it would die, I think it may have something to do with traveling at speed for awhile (like on a freeway) & abruptly dropping to idle speed, your truck had a bit of a hiccup , & stalled. Did it start back up easily ? & hasn't happened since ? I'd say not to read to much into it, maybe change fuel filter or remembering when the last tune up was, I dunno, until it starts happening frequently would't stress too much.....

yeah it started right back up just fine, ive only had the truck for just over a year and both plugs, wires and fuel filter have been changed in that time period

Is this as easy as removing the screw clamp, setting the hose aside and cleaning the blade?

essentially, yes...realistically, no. The intake tube can be a MF to get out of the way to really clean.
