    Spooky? Not for a 4x4.

We should set up a 4x4 only Rowher Flats meet.

lol - I went out there last weekend, and I got scared half way up the first hill on lookout trail and chickened out. I wasn't slipping or anything, but it was just me out there and I didnt feel like being stuck in the middle of nowhere by myself if anything happened. Truck would have made it - driver wouldn't have . :D

A 4wd only Rowher would be cool too...been down one of the step jeep trails a couple times, would be fun to go up one.

But I feel ya on be scared of breaking on something like that! Desert you can fix things much easier, steep trail and sumtin breaks....oh boy whole world of bs. Few other trucks is a must.

Lookout Trail and Rowher 4x4 trails are really not too bad. The really tough one is going up Rowher 4x4 trail from Bouquet Cyn. I usually start at the main entrance to Rowher Flats, then go up either Lookout or Rowher 4x4 to the top of the mountain, then I take Rowher 4x4 down to Bouquet Cyn. Its a fun 2 - 3 hour run.

I am up for a Sat morning run if anyone wants to go.

BTW, I have been up the hill at Hungry Valley a few times. Here are some pictures from June 2009 when they allowed trucks to go up.

do you use 4lo locked to go up all of these? seems to me like it would be hard to change anything once you start up. and yes - im down for sat morning at rowher
