Ok, It's hard to take these threads seriously but either clean it up or forget about it and get on with life.
I mean it's a seat rail if you just grow a little and scoot the seat all the way back no one will ever see it.
:notsure::notsure: I don't understand the need to start a thread.

A piece of steel has a little rust on it, what's the problem exactly?

You can change what page you open to. It doesn't have to be 3rd gen or 'new posts' (which is all gens, and may be 3rd gen heavy)

You can make yours open to 1st gen or some other place you are more comfortable.

While I use the 'new posts' page as my landing spot, and I have a 2nd gen, I kinda get a kick out of seeing some of the 'issues' people are concerned about. :anonymous:

    4 run, 2 don't
    Toyota says it's normal.

It was a one model year option only - "Rustic" package, at no additional cost.

    This.

I agree that freaking out over the rust on a seat track is a bit over the top. But 3rd gens are going to be more active on the forum since new owners tend to be enthusiastic for the first year or two. You can't get all stressed about the snowflakes making useless threads or you're gonna go crazy.

1st and 2nd gen boys complaining about reading 3rd gen posts on the front page ... Yeah, OP is the "real" snowflake here /s. As others posters have said, if you don't want to read these posts, why are you hear here. Scroll on...

OP, clean it up and forget about it. If this is the biggest problem your Tacoma ever has, consider yourself lucky. Good news is, your Chevy buddy has opened himself up to future ridicule. I'd harass him relentlessly for any future issues or his laughable resale value.

Not sure if you realize this, but complaining about complainers makes you a complainer also, regardless of what generation your truck is... & wishing is for children.
