Apple Car Play plug n play

The joying has CarPlay? When I last looked it wasn't clear to me that it had the CarPlay option.

I have it in my Vette. I don't hate it but I don't love it. Put me down as someone else who doesn't necessarily see it as that much of an improvement over Entune for my usage. However, integrating it into the stock HU isn't a bad deal either and could be appealing if the price were right.

 

Beat Sonic just released a plug and play CarPlay upgrade for Entune 2.0 and 2.5 units. It’s not their phone mirroring one. It’s actual CarPlay.

That's a better price point but I'd rather put in a Kenwood. Maybe reviews down the line would change my mind.

Objectively speaking, the Joying HU is lightyears ahead of anything Toyota has or will release in the near future.

Android Auto, Apple Carplay, full android system, basically a full tablet/cellphone.

If you don't use any of those features then fair enough.

Luckily their latest HU's have improved a lot, in reliability and sound quality.

Haven't had a single hiccup on mine and it looks oem.

For less than $500 I will take it over a crappy integration for a subpar HU lacking tons of features.

They need to change up their marketing, because outside of members on here talking about it and one reply in an Amazon ad, there is literally no mention on their website about CarPlay.

I don't disagree that the Joying HU is nice looking and if you are an Android user it makes sense. I am well aware that I am in the minority in thinking that Entune isn't all that bad as an Apple user. It's light years above Uconnect which doesn't integrate well with the Apple products at all.

 

There’s a mod coming with a 6 camera option integrated into the current Entune HU.

Does that system work with the steering wheel buttons? And do you know if it has XM on it? The website didn't really explain whether those 2 worked.

 

I havent recieved but steering control yes....separate mic. I think hd no but xm yes. Its basically an android tablet. Everything the guy answers pretty much makes you happy and everyone whos got one is extremely happy and swears by it

 

Does it retain the dash cluster and also did you install yourself or have someone else install? Any comparison to the Joying or is this basically the same thing?
