It doesn't matter if it was registered or not. You still need to contact Mat (OVTune) for a new registration key and pay the license fee ;)

And since that is a dongleless setup, the license is tied to your laptop not your vehicle.

I am interested in an in-depth review of your new ride. I assume you also got a MT?

    Updated 2.0 flashed, idelig now.
Curious how the initial throttle response compares to the previous file. If all goes well, I'll submit a ticket for Mat then post some feedback after a min of 100 miles.

    In depth?
Let's put it this way, the 19 is a much better vehicle than my 16 was when new.

The 19 doesn't rattle, shake, buzz, kazoo shriek (door seals), or shed parts like my '16 did.
It's much quieter, but that is to be expected since it's a double cab and the Toyos are not what you'd call "off road ready" lol.
The hood skin doesn't do a wavy dance at highway speeds, the rear diff doesn't howl (yet), the engine doesn't try and kill you when trying to take off in a situation where some power is required off the line.

I know it's not an apples/apples comparison, but this Sport has much better on road manners than my '16 OR did. Smoother, handles better.
At the end of the day though, it still needs OVtune and accumulator delete/dremel to make the most of the drivetrain IMO. Low end is noticeably weaker on 04B41 OEM as compared to any OVT FOB file. Throttle response and midrange power is however, noticeably better than early OEM calibrations. The clutch is just as vague and delayed as ever, and will remain that way until the accumulator is dealt with.

    Just some opinions and observations...

I am, but the access cab had it's good points. Fold those little "seats" up and just fire whatever you want in the back right on the floor, no rear seat cushions n stuff getting in the way. I do like the storage the DC offers you though, both behind the seat back and underneath the cushions. It'll just take some getting used to.
..oh and now I can actually put more than two people in my truck lol..
I can feel the extra weight of the DC, it's not quite as light on it's feet as the AC was...

    Thank you, sir.

Dunno on the calibration IDs, but I doubt it's PRO related.
It's more likely Toyota decided to update some things as the 19 M/Y progressed. Matt probably knows...

Someone explain the difference in 04A70 and 04A71 to me. Can I flash, or have the dealer flash up to 04A71 if my ID is 04A70? Feel like I'm missing out on the beta by being a step behind

I would have the dealer look at. Perhaps some type of TSB was issued or just some tweaks to the ECU between production. There is always the tech stream DIY method but that runs the risk of actually bricking your ECU if not done right.

Hopefully those with greater knowledge can chime in.

@OVTune I flashed the latest O4B13 dongle tune and was successful, but now my truck won't start, the engine just turns over.
    Zendesk ticket #10057 sent.

Make sure you selected the correct file and try reflashing. The revised files were posted two pages back this morning.

Also try flashing back to the tune you were on previously.

I tried flashing back to the tune I was on, back to stock and even tried to read the ecu. They all came back unsuccessfully.
