2nd gen 05-10 steering wheel airbag?

Anyone have an airbag?

Long story short i removed the emblem to paint it months ago which required cutting it out of the airbag and i painted it and went to adhere it and used a glue i was told would be good to use.. Well it was like silicone and was taking way too long to set , and it messed up the paint as glue was all over it. So i bought a emblem which i sourced on ebay and sent it to someone to get professionally painted and well that didn’t work out whatsoever . and after waiting 3 months for it to get painted was told the job couldn’t get done..

So i’m finally getting the emblem sent back shortly and i don't really want to glue it on as that’s one of the ways to get it back on.. i have an idea how to take the physical airbag apart and properly adhere the emblem like the factory has it but i just don’t want to mess with it anymore and would much rather just replace the whole airbag and have the emblem the way it was from the start.
Stupid and shouldn’t of messed with it but ya live and ya learn.

Unless anyone is wanting to help me out and paint my emblem and than i can prob send ya the airbag and you could put the emblem together for me the proper way if your turn around time is quick.

Or just buy one of these emblems and use jb weld plastic epoxy and glue it on?

 

yeah i saw your post in the thread. all you did was file down the center of the airbag so it was flush and glued it on?

I think i found someone else to paint the emblem and another to help me re attach it properly

Yep exactly how I did it. Sanded the middle. Glued it on.

 

now you have a projectile pointed right at your face when or if that airbag goes off?? nope, not me

 

I don’t see a problem having Toyota stamped on my face?
