Yeah, you can damn near buy a Sierra Denali for the same price as a Pro.

    I mean...Probably aint gonna buy a Denali...But I'm going to choke on a Taco.

Sh*t even $43k (which is "invoice") for a loaded TRD OR is ridiculous.

I bought a 2016 Land Cruiser today with 32k miles and a 7yr 100k Toyota warranty today. Was $53k. Was very close to pulling the trigger on a 2020 a pro or decked out OR, but decided the LC was a better value, and I got it for a great price.

Man that's pretty f'n good right there.

I'm considering the same move. I've got a Crewmax Tundra right now, and want a Tacoma...But I keep seeing other things in the 50k ballpark that are simply better vehicles.

Way to much. Such deposits are fully refundable, but you shouldn't have to tie up 2 grand to show good faith. $500 seems a reasonable amount.

Where in Canada? I'm in Ontario and none of the dealers around have been able to even give me prices on any 2020s yet

Vandermeer in Cobourg Ontario, I’ve spoken to 3 other dealers that have no info. If cobourg has it the other dealers should be getting info any day now I would think.

Can you name me a better midsize pickup in the 40-50K range?

    Ranger?
    Colorado?
    Gladiator?

We have people comparing the value/use case of a Tacoma to a Land Cruiser or a Corvette.....

I'm not really comparing it to other midsized trucks. I'm comparing it to other things I can get for the money, as are others.

If I were to compare it to other mid sized trucks, I'd be pointing out that the Ranger and Colorado can be had for significantly lower money, and can tow more, haul more, be had with a turbo and/ or diesel. Better rear seat room as well. Better fuel economy and more power as well.

TRD Pro has no wiggle room on price until next year models are showing up at lots. You have been able to buy a ZR2 in the high 30s all year. Local guy here just bought a damn Bison for just a touch under 40k.

I could make do with a small hatchback (I have a fast car and a Jeep for fun). I don't need a truck. I like trucks. The value proposition simply isn't there for the Tacoma.

    I mean...I'll probably buy one anyway...but it's not a deal. Hasn't been for years.

Im seeing 2020 tacoma on the lots in my area now on auto trader. Pros are listed at 48-49k. Ive seen a couple off roads stickering at 48k but most are in the 38-39k range.
