    Hey Fam,

Anyone have any input on these guys ? Looking at ordering the SV-4 replacement bulbs for the low beams and fog lights.

I’ve seen a few threads about the do’s and dont’s...

Just looking for feedback from anyone that runs what I’m looking to get.

Please don't waste your time on illegal and unsafe bulbs in something as important as your headlights. These simply cannot work as effectively as high quality halogen bulbs from Phillips or GE, which are both safe and legal. Don't believe the advertising bullshit from these companies. Maybe some day it will be possible to design an LED that is small enough and accurately placed enough to mimic the lighting performance of a high end halogen, but that day isn't here yet. Not only will you not be able to see as far but if you put these in fog lights you'll pretty much be guaranteed to piss off every driver coming your way with the glare you're now producing. And if you end up causing an accident because of that, well, no one's going to be happy from your insurance company to law enforcement.

I had HIDs, but switched to the Supernova V4s. I like them a lot. Not has bright as the HID, but much better than a standard bulb.

The Supernova V4 are one of the best as far as light pattern goes, assuming you install them per the instructions.

Pricey, a lot of the led bulbs look similar. Wouldn't a 30$ set from Amazon be comparable. And save a bunch of loot

That’s why I’m asking for opinions. If there’s a $30 bulb that produces good lighting ... I’m in . Haha

That all depends on your alignment and if you get a bulb that has an LED chip that closely mimics the location of the halogen filament. Otherwise you'll get exactly what you're talking about. That being said, they are illegal for on road use except in fog lights. But that goes for any LED or HID bulbs used in halogen housings. Not sure why it matters if things are properly aligned like in an LED or HID housing, but it does.

Did you have to realign your headlights at all or were they not affected?

Just a side note, the Supernova V.4 and the S-V.4 are similar, but different bulbs.
