I'm not sure. Basically a bunch of camping gear for a family of 4. And maybe occasionally I'll pull a 3500lb travel trailer. I'm thinking I'll start with stage 1 and see how it goes.

    FWIW,

I’m happy with option 2 and adjustable ADS EXT in the rear. No additional weight day-to-day and maybe 250lbs off road/travel.

I’m on E-rated 33s and the ride is firm but planted. I run 15psi when on the trails

I got way more than the spec lift, I’m at +3” in the rear. I’ve got some rake, but I like it

Yeah definitely axle wrap for me, no vibrations at speed. When I put it into 4WD, the shudder is dramatically reduced.

How is your carrier bearing doing? Mine has a decent amount of play in it when I lay under the truck and push up /down on the driveshaft. Im hoping when I get time to install a new one that will help the vibrations

Bearing is tight, just over 10,000 miles on the truck.

Did some towing on Option 1 last weekend! I should have changed it to Option 2 prior. I thought I would never use the extra leaf but I'm glad I have the option now for the next trip haha.

Posted this in a similar thread, wanted to get everyone’s opinion in here:
“Any of you guys experience the bounce effect on freeway type roads? I’ve got Option 1 and removed my stock spare months before the install. I tried throwing my full-size spare in the bed and still had the bounce. Today I had my full-size spare, a foldable tent and 3x 13 gallon bags full of empty beer bottles in the bed and still had the bounce, a little less toned down but still there.”

Sounds like your shocks more than the leaf pack.

I thought that at first when I had the Icon shocks with the leaf pack. Then I switched to King Shocks and kept the same leaf pack, same issue

Just because you changed shocks doesnt mean they were valved correctly on the second try... Out of the box valving on a lot of these is less than ideal.

I left out a detail, the King’s we’re valved by Accutune for Tacoma’s with no additional weight in the bed

Well that's odd then. On option 1, with added weight, it might be more than the shocks were tuned to dampen? I know when I load mine up it bounces more if I don't crank down the DSC adjusters on my Accutune'd foxes? I don't notice much bouncing except for a very few specific sections of freeway, otherwise, they're pretty good, i'm unloaded on option 2.

I was on option 3 and empty bed With bilstein 5160s and now 8100 with around 150lbs. I never felt that bounce affect.

Crank down the adjusters as in making them stiffer I assume? The off-the-shelf Icon’s that I had and the Accutune’d King’s that I have now have done the same bounce effect. I thought maybe the Icon’s were too stiff so went with the tuned King’s. Two sides of the spectrum with the soft/stiff and progressive/digressive
