Good luck! Were you able to get anybody else to ride in your vehicle to replicate the issue you were having?

Wheels are pretty light. They are 16x8 rota Grid x off-road that I custom painted the centers on. They aren't a direct fit and require machined 5mm hubcentric spacers and extended studs to clear calipers.

In other words, wouldn't recommend lol. They're pretty tho.

265/75r16, AT3 LT's C-load went on today from Discount Tire. The previous set of original AT3's had some really bad uneven wear that made them hella loud, hoping these don't follow suit, will be keeping on top of rotation and air pressure even more this time around.

    I've got 2 weeks on my AT3 4S.

These are easily the best looking P metric all terrain I've seen. The Toyos look embarassing, and the Yoko G015's look like car tires.

Very happy and looking forward to test in winter.

Really like the way the white lettering looks with Barcelona Red. How long did you keep the stock tires before swapping to the Coopers?

285/75/17 at 3 xlt's. After being a bit hesitant about them initially, they're a good tire. huh @oscolivar1
Nice to have an all terrain again after having hybrids and two sets of mud terrains lol

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Oh, I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.

I'd really like to get a set of 17" Fuel Shok (D666) wheels. Their narrowest width is 9". I've already got a set of relatively new Discoverer AT3 LT, 265/70r17s mounted. I looked up the recommended wheel width for this tire and Cooper says 7 - 8.5". Phoned the tire store, guy there did some quick calculations and said that 9" wheel width is the maximum, and shouldn't be a problem.

Is there any downside to exceeding the manufacturer's *approved* wheel width (warranty issues aside)?

When it's time to replace these AT3-LTs, I'll go with a different model meant for that wheel.

Cooper (or any other brand) will be the only true expert to give you a definitive yes/no answer. Anyone else will just be able to provide you their opinion.

Personally I don’t see the extra wheel width being an issue. Just be mindful of that factor if you air down to wheel. Otherwise chalk test them and run them like you stole them

Took them off-road today and they did great at 12psi. Love these tires.

Nothing catastrophic is going to happen to the tire in normal on road conditions. It could wear unevenly do to the change in footprint. You could increase tire pressure to help even out the footprint at the expense of ride quality. I wouldn't recommend airing the tire down to off-road with that tire wheel configuration because you have a greater chance of bead unseat if you hit a object on the side of the tire.

    Just my 2 cents
