I was listening to a program on wfbq, Q95 many years ago when I was in high school called "Sunday nite live".
It was a show where callers would call in and talk about extraterrestrials, paranormal, satanic stuff and such.

So this guy calls in and he is very convincing. Says he was on a long drive overnite and about 3am as he was about ready to pull into a rest area, someone started speaking to him from the back seat.

He looked into his rear view mirror and there was this dark, shadowy figure talking to him.
Telling the guy all about his past life, his mother dying of cancer, his father committing suicide.

The hosts were asking questions and this guy on the phone says it went on for 40 mins or so. You could hear hear fear in this guys voice as he was telling the story. Even at one point breaking down and crying.

So the caller said he asked the figure in his back seat who or what he was.

The voice came from the backseat, "You know me Robert. I am Satan".

The caller went silent and started weeping.

Mind you, this is a live call in show and I was in the garage working on my car at the parents house. Stopped what I was doing and was totally glued to the radio.

After a few seconds of silence the host finally asked the guy with concern in his voice... "What did you do when he told you he was Satan"?

The guy said "I pulled over to the side of the road and told him to get the fuck out of my car"!

They cut him off and went to commercial.
I was freaking dying that this guy trolled these hosts on a nationally syndicated radio show for over 30 mins.

Whether a squatch was slapping an animal carcus against a tree or a squatch was jerking off, either way, you're screwed.

Hence why he stayed in the truck, clutching his "rifle".

I could maybe believe the stories if they were just things in the night throwing shit and what not. I sure hope nothing like that happens to me, but that's why when I'm out in the woods I have my ccw, shotgun, and dogs. But I'm mostly worried about the crazy people and bears.

Weirdest thing I've had happen in the woods was out in Tennessee. I'm minding my own business takin care of some important paperwork about 100yrds from camp when I hear a human whistle come from the direction of camp. I thought it was my wife calling me or the dogs so I didn't think much of it. Got back to camp and asked why she whistled, she hadn't...

The other was outside of Yosemite. It had just gotten dark and I hear something running in the woods and some weird sounding thing between a dog and a hyena. My wife started freaking out and to be honest I was like WTF is that damn thing! I had her get in the truck with the dogs, grabbed my gun and bright ass flashlight and went to check it out. By this time we were surrounded by whatever was make the weird sounds. I was able to see them in the woods running around, probably a 50yd radius around us. When I finally got a somewhat view of one stopped.......... It was.....it was.....

Damn coyotes. I've heard them hunt before, they pretty much always sound similar to dogs to me. Was kinda weird being surrounded by them, but no Bigfoot.

I live in the deep woods. Next house is about 200 yards away and behind me to the next on is maybe a mile. Pulled the camera cards earlier in the year and got this...person. This camera is maybe 30 yards from the garage and a common game trail down to a little pond. He never came back in either of the 3 cameras I have.

When Grandad retired he figured a great way to spend some time was to drive long-haul trucks for a while. So, naturally for a couple of years the grandparents would often entertain their new trucker buddies at their house, and with truckers come trucker's tall tales. This is one such story relayed to me, not sure on the validity of it (but I expect that its sprinkled with a bit o' BS as all trucker stories are):

Dude was pulling a flat bed load way up to the boonies of Northern Michigan. It was a nice summer evening and rather than seek out a motel he decided to find a quiet pullout and camp under the trailer. He had a nice fire going and was drinking his evening coffee when a wolf started circling the fire. Not threatening or menacing like you see in the movies, just walking around like he owned the place, sniffing the ground, sniffing the air. The trucker was only somewhat peturbed by this, he hissed, yelled, threatened to throw a rock, "hey! get outta here!". Wolf ignored him. No reaction, no acknowledgement, nothing, just circling, sniffing the ground, sniffing the air. Like the wolf just pretended that he was invisible or something. So the dude pulls out his revolver and takes aim. Then he thinks better of it, doesn't really want to explain to the authorities why hes out here killing wolves, so he aims slightly high. He sends a shot right over the wolf's head and into the woods beyond. The wolf, in response, bares his teeth, lets out a low rumble, and slowly saunters back into the woods. Like he owns the place. The trucker took that as his cue to make a run for the relative safety of the cab. He climbs up, fires the engine, and hits the headlights. And within the spread of his high-beams, stood somewhere between 15 and 20 more wolves. The entire pack was just lurking beyond his sight, waiting.

    Sometimes they sound supernatural.

I've been out by the pond before at night and they start their squalling and hollering. Link, our GSD, looked at me like maybe it's time to go inside. For me they sound like a pack of rabid ambulances that bite. You hear them in the distance then all of a sudden one you didn't see is 30 feet from you screaming.

When my wife gets chickens you're welcome to come over and hone your AR skills from our rooftop. :D I'll need help defending them.

That’s what they do. The one was a decoy to draw his attention.

I know. The neighbor to the north has a small logging company and the truck barn and office is behind his house. He has a small dirt pad where he keeps sliders and a dump truck that butts our property. I was thinking it could’ve been a pissed off worker or maybe a worker wanting to chase the dragon by himself but the date says it was a Sunday, and it was after 5pm.

Not east I’ve heard they are a bit smaller out that way. I always goto CO to visit the folks and keep a eye out when we go hiking though.
