This week has disappeared in a swirl. It feels like I've been busy... but... oh well.

I have been remiss to not publicly thank @YamaDirtrider and that filthy mouthed fool @Red Baron for the sliders they kindly installed last weekend on my 1st gen '04 DC TRD. So... here's a BIG shout out to these two TWers for their custom 1st gen sliders, $500 out the door. (I opted for HREW, fwiw.)

Ultimately I decided to go flat. Probably a good thing I hadn't remembered how @lambo did his. That was the mall crawling / trail crawling look I had been considering. Yama & Baron would have been happy to do them that way, but in the end, practicality won out: this is my survey rig, and by putting the sliders @ 0° I maximized their utility as a step, which was a consideration for wife & family.

    Here are some photos...

Yea we can, hard to say how far out though.
The best route to go is stock lca with moog ball joints and whiteline bushings. And new oem cam selves. Since they will have to be cut out.

Another option while your in there is knuckle gussits.

Sounds good, In no rush but would like to get taken care of at some point. New OEM cams for sure. Haven't seen any aftermarket that have good reviews.

I would be interested too. Any idea on how much it would cost? Trucks are money pits lol.

    Newest creation
Swing out hitch tire carrier. For the trips you need the spare out of the bed.
This one is for @50 amocaT
we’ll get more action shots in Moab next weekend 417EB62A-C571-4A69-9B1B-9F27E54C57C0.jpg C85AD8F7-1FA4-4B78-A154-9D9F836C4DB6.jpg9FD5D109-82B8-4169-AEB5-4C13E6465F50.jpg

This the truck that Aaron called about? Looks good. Interesting Resi location but not really space to put it anywhere else, cool idea. Those 2.0s definitely have more room around them than the 2.5s.
Look at ruffStuff they have some good cheap weld on resi brackets. They work really well.

Yea. The mount location has to change though. As it’s too close to the shock.
Gonna meet up with @TMFF this week and get the resi hoses rebuilt to locate them above the shock, bolted to the bed.

Already have ruff stuff resi mounts, and used there shock mounts to the axle and upper tube.

Cool yeah those are neat little tabs I used them for mine. I thought Aaron said you were doing Billies. Or maybe I am confusing that with like the 3 other shock relocates and chevy 63 swaps I've been asked about. :notsure:

I need to find a shop like you got and start doing some of this stuff.:jellydance:
