Fair enough. Then i say buy it! ha

haha youre very impatient i see haha but i get what your saying. Me personally would not want to move it, trip over it and let it collect dust. To each their own obviously. He likes tools so i will encourage him to get more! haha

On that auger above, 2 HP is not a lot, and 6" is small. How many holes are you digging and what size posts? A rental unit should be significantly more powerful and a larger diameter. I used to work at a tool rental place and although I can't remember the specifics (30 yrs ago) I'm sure what we rented was 8"+ diameter and 3.5+ HP

I purchased 2 new things at HF that I am in love with. BEST purchase was this: Next best was this (based on a previous recommendation in this thread.) Both have significantly improved the quality of my garage...

Picked up the 4' 5000 lumen LED shop light today since they had a coupon bringing it down to $23. Easy to hang and puts out a TON of light.

I shortened the pull chain so it doesn't hang so low but I think the original pull chain is maybe ~40", which is nice in case you hang it in a higher ceiling area.

Home Depot has brighter ones, probably better quality, & cheaper ($15 I think).

The $15 HD ones are 2000 less lumens, and I guarantee you they aren't better quality. I looked at the HD ones, lowes ones, and HF ones before I went with the HF ones. With a 19.99 coupon for the HF ones, it was well worth the purchase. My garage is stupid bright now instead of 1 led regular bulb beforehand.

    Home Depot 3' 3000 lumens, $16

    Home Depot 4' 3000 lumens, $26

    Home Depot 4' 4000 lumens, $38

    etc, etc

    https://www.homedepot.com/b/Lighting-Commercial-Lighting-Shop-Lights/Plug-in/N-5yc1vZc9h6Z1z10h7q

HF is 4', 5000 lumens, for $23 with coupon. Plenty fine quality and stupid bright.

The only other ones I really considered were the Barrina ones on Amazon. They are lower lumens per bar, but they can daisy chain themselves, so if you are like me with one useable power plug in the garage, it would really help

Would definitely consider these when I get a larger garage. I just have a one car right now and this HF one actually lights up the whole area I need light so $23 was a no-brainer for now.

Yeah, my 2 car garage has 2 of the HF ones. No dark spots I can assure you that.

I can see benefit of the Amazon style would be one switch for turning multiple lights on but not a big deal for you to hit two pull chains I'm sure

Yeah. My deal is my only useable outlet is shared with the garage door opener, so I only had one plug. So I had to get a 3 way splitter, and then attach the 2 lights into that. Looks pretty janky, but works well, and with some cable anchors, cleaned up ok.

Not HF, but cheap random tools.

I do not have screwdriver kit, may pick it up later. The dewalt kit I’ve had in black for maybe 2 years now and love it for a behind back seat truck kit

Me too :annoyed: I have one outlet on the wall behind the toolbox, and one of the spots is filled for my garage fridge. Then the other outlet on the ceiling with one for the garage door motor.

I didn't have any cable anchors on hand so i just wedged the cable alongside the pre-existing ceiling light with two screws and put two small cable ties to hold it up. Looks janky but it's just a rental house so it'll do for now! :anonymous:

I love tools. I'm one of those guys who buys a tool thinking, hey I might use this once in my life but I must have it in my toolbox

Yeah, they’re pretty bright. There’s 3 in this area. (Don’t mind the mess. Going thru some changes right now.)01EB86ED-D176-4B96-A225-50D569EFFA8C.jpg
