FSC: just a suggestion but its easier to read someone's post under someones quote rather than adding your post w/different color in the OP quote...how are we supposed to quote you or anyone else when everything is bunched together?

you had D and myself quoted above your post that I had quoted you in post 1425

while that may not have been what you typed/said that's the impression that others got from your post...

I wasn't asking you to make an entirely new thread...just asking you to post up the links that you know of for NEVADA Trails and State Laws for Wheeling...While I have searched this forum I have found a few technique threads but haven't found much info on Trails strictly for the Nevada area...that's why I asked for them...

and that same individual who left the site randomly showed up to the last meet...it was good to see him again...:D but that's not no one's fault...

I completely understand that everyone has a life outside of TW...nothing wrong with that and I would hope that TW isn't anyone's main focus in life...that would make them TROLLS...lol

when it comes to events like this...please keep in mind that there are others driving in from other states...those individuals are driving a long way just to let loose relax and have fun with their fellow brethren...those same individuals whether noobs or not may not want to risk wheeling their truck hard so APEX was the best trail for this event just cause of its location (15min. north of vegas) and the trail itself isn't hard from what I've been told and saw through pictures. the Vegas crew would feel really bad if 1 or several of the out of townees broke something while wheeling...

that's something I would spend money on myself...just to familiarize myself with the area, trails, etc...before and during our little wheeling trips...unfortunately I have yet to find the extra time to join the Vegas crew to go wheeling...

I did find a site the other day TRAILS.com (<-click for link) its pretty cool cause it will show you everything from hiking, mountain biking, and wheeling trails in every state. very descriptive when it comes to trail difficulty, elevation change, how long the trail is and how long it will take you to complete the trail, topography maps, etc...unfortunately you get a free trial and then you have to pay $49.95 for the entire year which isn't bad but I'm sure if we pooled some money together from the Vegas crew and made 1 Username/Password that everyone can use it would be much more worth it...

the same can be said about yourself...you don't know any of the Vegas crew accept a hand full that don't even come out to the meets or go on any of wheeling excursions that others have managed to put together...but while you may think its a suggestion the way you word it comes out a little cocky when others read it...hypocrisy can go both ways...

this section of the forums is to discuss upcoming meets, mod days, wheeling events, and anything else that brings together friends and enthusiasts...if there are individuals that need info and I can find it I always post up a link to the correct section of the forum, threads, and/or other sites...

if those valued members left, they left on their own accord...no one is forced to stay here...while it would be better if individuals had a problem with 1 person or a group of people to just pm/email or even better call them on the phone and settle it that way others just feel its easier to delete their account completely and that's 1 less thread with useful information gone...which sucks...I'm all in when it comes to useful info, but if the info comes off as being cocky and rude I will not hesitate to put those individuals in their place...I read things and post up and sometimes it sounds like I'm a broken record, but all this bickering back and forth is just childish...

if I offended you I'm sorry but its hard to read others reactions/emotions on the internet especially when you read their post 2 or 3 times and the wording is wrong so it comes out making the original poster sound cocky...thing things through before and while your making your post...if it sounds or looks wrong change the wording a little so that its more supportive/suggestive...

Honestly at times you seem like a wealth of information especially for the trails/laws around here but that's why I ask you to post links up for us (not all of us have the time to constantly search for existing threads because we may not know the correct wording for the thread and it will take even longer to find it compared to someone who knows what to look for)...I know your busy but when you can find the time I suggest you make a thread and post up your ideas for trail runs that way others can get involved, meet more people who are more knowledgeable when it comes to trails and wheeling techniques...not saying that it has to been in 2 weekends or even 3 months from now...but it would be nice to learn more about the area around vegas...

Here is the info on the Nellis Dunes/Apex area before you all head out there tomorrow.

The Apex area is being studied because they have plans to make it a permanent offroading area with a motocross track, atv course, BMX, truck racing and rock crawling. There are always groups trying to prohibit those kinds of things, so tread lightly. Studies needed to allow and not allow these things to happen, so they are out there, we weren't BSing.
    Here is the info
    http://www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/comprehensive_planning/nellis/pages/nellisdunes.aspx

    Under the Alerts area...
"Proposed Graduation Assistant professor of geoscience Brenda Buck will lead a collaboration of scientists from the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) to conduct research needed to assess the effects of dust emissions from public lands on air quality in areas of Clark County, Nevada."
"Las Vegas Valley and surrounding areas have been designated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an air pollution non-attainment area for airborne dust and carbon monoxide. Disturbances and activities on public lands managed by BLM within the non-attainment areas have been identified as a significant source of dust. BLM has implemented a comprehensive Dust Management Plan to mitigate dust emissions from its public lands and comply with regulations mandated by the Clark County Department of Air Quality Management and provisions of the Clean Air Act. BLM and UNLV are proposing a cooperative research effort to improve scientific understanding of dust generation and transport issues and assess the effectiveness of various measures utilized by BLM to mitigate dust emissions from public lands in Clark County."
