That's possible. I'm only on my fourth bottle and I've been welding a lot a year now. So with my flow rate at 25 CFH, I've welded for roughly 19 hours. Doesn't seem all that impressive.

I use 0.035" ER70S6 wire. Just your run of the mill mild steel filler wire. I suggest getting a 10 lb spool of Hobart brand wire. I have much less spatter with Hobart brand vs the Lincoln brand you can buy at Lowe's which I've run several times in a pinch. Probably 1/3 of the spools I've used have been Lincoln and they piss me off every time.

Well that sucks. Try and buy one, you'll save a lot of money and aggravation if you don't have to buy those 2 lb spools. Those small ones don't last long enough to complete a decently sized project to be honest.

Make sure when you get the bottle it has a date that will still be good after you use all of it. The bottles have to be recertified to be refilled and only good for a few years. Make them give you a newer bottle when you get it refilled. Dont get the same bottle refilled, that way you will not have to buy a new bottle or pay to have it recertified

1 ply toilet paper has been used for centuries, does that make it reliable? I think not.

I would guess the transmission issues probably have more to do with people putting on big tires and lifts without gears. And probably inexperienced off road driving.

You know I think driving like grannies is a problem when the rpm is right there where it has to shift down at every little hill. Gotta carry some rpm.

I'm not in the market, though I wouldn't mind test driving one. I could go for a 3.0 diesel mid size though.

GM did some impressive stuff with the ZR2. I know diesels and diesel fuel costing more it's barely a break even deal through the life of the vehicle, the difference is drivability.

I grew up in 3/4 ton and bigger trucks, btw none of that gay lifted crap, just tuned deleted and mostly stock appearance with maybe AT tires, and the shifting and ability to never shift down is huge. They just have great manners.
