1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Mainly I’m focusing on how King of the Hill focuses on genuine comedy and the ironic outlook on the normal things in life. KOTH is nothing like American Dad or Family Guy when it comes to animated adult cartoons, it’s a show about a normal family living a normal life. Doesn’t resort to toilet humor like the other Mcfarlane productions.

Futurama>Bobs Burgers>Family Guy>King of the hill>Cleveland Show>American Dad

Never watched much of rick n morty. I find American dad extremely annoying.

 

In what world is Family Guy before King of the Hill?

 

I got halfway into the one where Bobby lives in the doghouse to fix his allergies, and was like wtf? why am I wasting my time here?

 

I forgot about Bobs Burgers; definitely on top of the list as well.

I cant watch Archer because I like Bobs burgers so much. It just feels weird.

 

Seth mcfarlane ensures that every episode of family guy will get people laughing. Even if crude humor isnt their thing. Although this last season was bad. Like it needs to end kinda bad. Really dumb storylines

 

Most people don’t know this, but Rick and Morty started out as a twisted joke many years ago by Justin Roiland. He wanted to see how fast he could get a copyright infringement notice. This was roughly 2006.

Original working title was Doc and Mharti, which is a play on Doc and Marty front Back to the Future.

You’ll notice it’s all the same voices and character mannerisms.

Random question.

Can anyone confirm if a 99’ 3rd gen 4Runner sr5 (2WD) transmission will work in my 2002 prerunner? It’s my understanding that the 3rd gen 4Rs use a340e or a340f. “e” for 2WD such as the sr5 and “f” for the 4wd models.
I know for certain that the neutral safety switch is NOT the same between the specific vehicles I mentioned above. Anyone know if it would be possible to install my NSS onto the 4R trans and bolt it in to my truck without any ecu issues? Kinda a long shot but I figure it wouldn’t hurt to put it out there and see if anyone knows.

Both vehicles are 3.4 v6 A/T

But I digress, quit while you’re ahead — right? Don’t drag out your show long enough to see yourself become Dexter.

No. The tail sections are completely different on the 4Runner A340E and Tacoma A340E.

In fact, the Tacoma has one of the only variants of the A340E that is unique to itself. The 4Runner A340E is the same one on the Toyota Soarer, Supra MKIV, LS400, Isuzu Rodeo and Isuzu D-Max — to name a few.

 

When your show needs two whole episodes to make fun of the current president, no matter who it is, youve reached a new low. The quick jokes he snuck in about Bush and Obama were funny, and it wouldve been if he did the same for Trump, but two entire episodes? Thats gotta turn off a large portion of the fanbase. I watch adult cartoons to get away from politics.

 

KOTH had an episode on Carter and it was pretty funny. But that’s as far as I want to go down that rabbit hole.
