As long as it doesn’t rust I’ll be happy. I may get the bar powder coated since it’ll be pretty cheap.

Oh, that's right, I forgot, temporary residence. Well, and you have the time during the day to take it someplace and pick it up. I bet you even know someone already that does PCing.

Just be like scubamike a few years ago and do the black headlight mod in your base housing oven and catch it on fire

I'm still laughing at the mental picture of some staffer from housing or the base FD briefing the base housing commander on why the oven caught fire and a response warranted.

I felt really bad for the guy. Definitely some shit that would happen to me!

When I did the 300 hr service on my tractor, I watched the service vids on youtube like 8 times before beginning, and even had them running, hitting pause for every step during.

I get all done and was at the critical part. Bleeding the injector pump (diesel). I know the guy said to just unscrew the bleeder bolt on the side of the injector pump. It was clearly the correct one I was opening. Then just turn the key on and I will hear the fuel pump engage and as soon as a steady stream of fuel is coming out tighten the bolt. So simple. After like the 5th time, worried I had fucked something up royally, I cranked it over. It smoked sputtered and died. Great! I just blew up my freaking $$$$$$$$ tractor.

Stepped away, scratched my head, scratched my head again, got a beer and tried to think of everything.

Then it was the classic  and then a really good :smack:

I forgot to remove the vice grips crimping the fuel line closed when I replaced the two fuel filters as part of this service.

As soon as I removed them, backed the bolt out, turned the key to on, the fuel pump engaged and fuel started pumping out. I tightened the bolt, and turned the ignition on, and she kicked right over.

    DUUH UHHH!!!!!!!

So yea, Robbie will not be playing with anything inside the house when it comes to fire or electrical. The extent of my interior domain is the kitchen sink when I wash my K&N filter.

Today I greased all my leaf and shackle bushings, as well as the slip yoke (proper term?) on the rear driveshaft, and used a dry lube in between my leafs. After atr, every single everything on my truck squeaked from the dust. Shit rides like a Cadillac now. I had to unbolt the leafs, wrangle them around, etc, since I don’t have zerks. But dammit it was worth it.

Take the boot off. You have to unbolt the DS from the diff, cut both wire bands holding the boot on, and it slips right out. Grease it up, and put it back together. I just used zip ties to hold the boot in place.

No, just whatever grease I had in my grease gun. Figured any grease is better than none.
