    Good afternoon Everybody,

Im gonna start off by giving yall some background info.

Ive done some business with the Chinese and random vendors reach out to me every once in a while. I know, I didn't purchase from the same industry at all, but they reach out to me every now and then.

This time around the manufacturer reached out to me with offering what seems to be a Sig Sauer Romeo5 clone. They are the same company that makes them. From what I understand its the exact same product, but they dont put the SS logos on there, and change the appearance of some buttons. I have bought red dots from these guys before and they are legitimately good. They are very worth the price.

The price of these is $60, and they are sold in cases of 48 pieces. There will be a little add on for shipping. Im sure they can ship for around $10.

I am asking for more pictures.

Apparently their made in the same place for the same price, just with different stickers than these.

My bad, the sigs are, not the APs.

I am always curious with these. So give it a shot. better option of course is to get the the aimpoint but its cheap enough to give it a try or compare against a real one.

Do you know if this does the motion activated illumination like the Sig does?

I doubt these are made in the same factory. If so, that would mean that the factory invested in a 2nd set of tooling and production floor space to create a product that doesnt have a Sig contract associated with it and it looks kinda like the sig. Unless the parts are coming out of the same molding machines it is not the same thing and makes no business sense that the Chinese would make that kind of investment and carry the risk of it not selling.

what makes more sense is that it's a knockoff made in a totally different building than sig with inferior optics, materials and components.

Holosun, just like Sig. The Chinese do this all the time. They sell laptops, in person in China, identical to those that Dell and other companies like that sell. One of my professors proved this. When he visited China he bought 4 laptops, $12USD each, from a vendor outside of where they manufacture the laptops for a well respected computer brand. When he came back one of the students who worked at best buy compared them to the "originals" abd they were identical down to the core. These companies manufacture all sorts of parts and pieces for all sorts industries, companies and products, sometimes on the same floor. All it takes is using a slightly different part from product a, one from b, one from c, put them on the body of product d and now you have product E; the main (more important) components of the original name brand product D, with small (less important) parts from a, b and c. It looks different enough that you don't instantly relate them, but in reality they're almost identical.

I'll tell you what, if the interest isnt here I can speak with them and try to order a couple sample pieces. They might be a little pricier, but Im sure they're still worth it.

I will give it a shot if the new ones do have the motion activated illumination.

Holosun has a few big names on their pro staff. The only one that comes to mind right now is Travis Haley. He is working with holosun on dbal type infrared laser. He's no joke, a real badass who knows his shit and someone who I dont think would put junk on their carbines.

The way the Chinese work is that they can make whatever you ask for. You want quality? They can make it. You want cheap? They can make it. So Im sure Mr. Haley isnt having many problems getting something good on the market from them.

And this is what happens when any American Company sends their production overseas to China, they end up having their intellectual property stolen from them, repackaged and sold back to the American consumer for cheap. Honestly, I've got no sympathy for any company that moves production offshore and ends up getting ripped off this way.
