@NunyaBizness A guy I help farm was just in Idaho black bear hunting. I know he got one but haven’t talked to him since he got back on Monday.

Nope I talked to him Sunday after he shot one. They were leaving Monday.

 

2 groups of hunters were attacked today in Yellowstone by a grizzly.

 

He said this was the first time bear hunting with dogs.

 

Bunch of clowns. When I was in Yellowstone in july, peeps were 4 or 5 feet away from a griz crossing the road. They deserved to get clawed. Fuckers doin it fir the IG.

On another note...City of Denver just rolled up to my house with its fake-ass sirens...looking to ticket my Nissan for expired tags, no doubt.

Not just me, though...anyone in the neighborhood. They never did this before this year. Something tells me the HOA is pointing things out to increase property value and push out the "poors"...the only damn reason this development exists in the first place.

Anyway...the driver pulls up, realizes that I'm sitting on the porch, and after a heartfelt "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" from me, drives off.

Something tells me that what they're doing isn't strictly speaking, "following protocol".

Ya gotta go to them, and that means rough, close second growth.

Tell you what though, having a purpose besides just taking a hike makes a big difference.
Even if you don't much care if you shoot anything or not.
That goes for all hunting.

We're still just Upper Paleolithic hunter gatherers.
That phase in humanity's development is too recent for us to have lost the essential characteristics.
By that measure, our lives today are quite unnatural and divorced from our roots.
I believe many people derive deep satisfaction from hunting for that reason.
