    I do love the lake. My family used to have a camp on the western shore of Grand Isle and I spent a couple of weeks there every summer from birth to about 6 years ago when it was sold.

    More aggressive tires sometimes rub where a less aggressive one won't. Just has to do with tread block size. A lift won't help rubbing, it only changes your static ride height. Your suspension will still cycle through the same range of motion. You'd likely still rub going either uphill/ downhill while near full lock or anytime you load up one of the front corners of the car.

    I know that place well. It's the "We're here" point of the trip to our cottage. The place we had was special, my 3rd great grandfather built it and it was in the family for generations. It's about a mile up from the GI-Plattsburg ferry landing, the new owner rents it out, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay to stay there.
