No suspense. I told her to get it. It's a lightly used leather couch that she got for $75. It has a couple of cat scratches on it so it matches our other leather furniture perfectly.

It just didn't fit in the door. Didn't want to mess with it anymore because it was getting late and we hadn't eaten dinner yet. I'm going to take the front door off tonight so that we can get it in the house. It's sitting in the garage right now.

 

I hate that.

 

And that's exactly what gave her the idea. I'm good with it.

 

I’m stockpiling parts right now and it’s hard to sneak them in with wife not working anymore

She knows. She just has that disbelieving look in her eyes when it comes up. My son is ready to dive into it. Pick up the frame Friday, paint then assembly. This is where I start buying parts and pieces and the nickel and diming begins. Plumbing, wiring, 12v battery, aluminum for the sides, umbrella, tires....it goes on a little here and there. I'm already around $2k into it but that was all stash money from my other side work. Now I gotta hit the plastic to finish it then do the health inspection.

 

I would, except that the garage is way too hot. Besides, I have one or maybe two inside the house.

 

Ugh. Got off call Monday and got called at Midnight last night. Worked until ~0200. Too old for that chit.

Was stationed in Lancaster for a year in the mid 80's. Lived in Mt. Joy and caught a lot of trout in that area. And catfish on the fly rod where the streams dumped into the Susquehanna. Could see three mile island from some of them. Ate some of the fish. Never had a problem or any side effects and am fine today.



Had a retired Navy Captain come in one day who was a janitor at 3 Mile. Said after being the skipper of subs and the all the stress he had previously in his life it was the best gig he had ever had. Everyone left him alone and they paid him a shit pot of money to mop floors.

 

Wanted a break from the Texas temps. Woke up to 25 degrees this morning. That’ll do.

As much as my wife likes it when I'm on 50+ and I share with her some of the stuff that goes on here ( not everything ) she really likes my paycheck more.
I have to better manage my time.
