    Thanks
No, but I should have. These weren't exactly cheap but they don't have as clean of a beam pattern as stock. Probably a poor designed reflector

I did the same. Bought "eagle eye" branded replacements and couldn't see anything at nighttime. Ended up swapping the OEMs back in. $400 to $500 is tough to swallow for new OEM headlights though. Will probably be the "final" mod/purchase I make.

At those prices I may just do a retro fit

Same results I had on the Tacoma. The 3rd party lights fit fine and I had no leaks, but the reflector beam pattern sucked big time. A hot spot and dim around it. At the time, I found a used set of OEMs to go back to, before I got some retros done.

This one appears to be a pretty compact pump-n-dump. Where I'm at it's just been a nice rain, with a bit of wind last night. A few times with up to 1"/hr, but nothing too bad. Coast and east is getting more now.

Finally we.have sound. Amp is bypassed. Wires are.tucked.away under the carpet. Now I still need to locate and tap into the reverse signal wire on driver side kick panel. Then figure out how to run the camera wiring from the dash to the tail gate...

So I lost sound after installing the camera. I couldn't get it.to.engage in reverse so I manually turned on the backup cam this morning backing onto my street and now it's stuck on the camera. I keep hitting the home button and nothing happens. so it's going to a professional tomorrow morning.

Just saw this, what's the word? I never did use the cam input or the reverse wire since I already had a cam in the mirror.

I unhooked the battery to reset it.before.work that night. The next morning i.took it.to.car toys. They said the bypass harness got snagged on the passenger kick pannel and grounded, causing the pioneer amp to short out. So I bought a floor model similar to the avh4000 and paid em to install it and the camera. Everything works now. They said the other option was.to install an amp.to power the.speakers but I felt that would put as back at.squarw.one since the truck came with an amp and we.were bypassing it.

Interesting. You could have just run your own speaker wires and used the HU amp to power them, until you decide if you want your own external amp. As for the cam wiring, not sure, I've never done that.
So now you have a HU to sell. :annoyed:

Lol I think I'll hold onto it. Maybe when I find me that perfect junker 5 speed Toyota to be my back up vehicle, I'll stick it in the dash with a small amp and call it a day.

Just FYI, I used the previous gen of this HU with just the amp's power and it worked fine for cheapo door speakers. The HU amp is not a bad one, don't discount it as long as you don't need big bass drive or a sub.

Huh? It was being used when I took it out, I had the rear door speakers running off of it. Did you wire some speakers directly to it, without the OEM amp?

Ahh, I see now. I was feeling bad and was ready to refund some money. You should have milked it a bit further. ;)

Nah man you already gave me a hell of a deal. I just wasn't as careful as I should have been.
