It is now $812, then 30% off that which comes to $568.40, then you can get a $100 rebate, which will put the final at $468.40. I'm ordering mine now. Thought I would share.

No freakin way! That's DIRT cheap on a unit like that!

Why are the prices dropping so fast? Is there something terrible about the unit?

I'm not sure. The only complaints I have read about deal with the GPS unit and I don't really care about that anyway. I want it to control my Ipod and it works with a backup camera, which will be my next purchase.

The GPS takes you on routes that are a lot longer than they should be.

Dang, I wish I wouldve waited till now :(

being im in the 12 volt world, if your on the fence about this deal........let me push you over........ independent dealers cant even come close to that deal. Its rediculous what you can pick it up for. If i didnt already run an Alpine unit fully loaded, i would even buy that unit. I personally know the right people at Alpine and the vp of kenwood and i cant get that good of a deal. (unless i got it for free)

    just my 2 cents

How are you getting it to apply the discount twice? The $812 is 30% off the original $1400...

$1400 is list price. $812 is Amazon's current price, then take 30% off of this. Trust me, I just bought the head unit, the ipod cable, the scoche dash kit and the wiring kit for $671. Then I will get the rebate sent in so I'll have $571 in the whole thing.

I stand corrected. I wasn't looking at the final price at check out. I ended up going with the MVH-8200. I got the deck, the Sirius bus interface, and the scosche dash kit for just over $300. I kinda wish I would have got the bigger one for the touch screen, but oh well.
