Tire recommendations

I've read alot of people on here regretting the e rated tires, being too stiff and harsh for the Tacoma.

 

My mpg dropped by 1-2 mpg with the wildpeaks, but I also went from a 30 inch factory to a 32 Inch tire, but I feel it's worth it. I got 4 installed and replacement warranty for 850ish, then sold my originals for 200 so I came out ok. The wildpeaks are not noisy at all.

 

Will do. Not to sound mean, but I hope my experience is different than yours! I would hate to lose all the great performance I have gotten from them so far.

Interesting. Pretty sure I've got ~20K miles on mine (maintenance/mileage log unavailable ATM). Haven't experienced any problems yet, but am now watching/listening...

AT3 or AT3 4S? Do you have siping that goes all the way across thread blocks still?

 

Falken Wildpeak AT3W had them for around 7k miles now, love them. Quiet, excellent in snow & rain.....

 

AT3. Will have to inspect siping when I get home. (Weather was nice enough to drive the fun car today...)

 

I always write Michelin LTX AT2s on these threads. They’re a bit more aggressive looking than the Michelin Defender MS and that probably means better traction, but they are still super quiet on the highway, and mpg’s don’t take as much of a hit as other AT tires. And as a bonus you can choose them in either Load C or Load E. I have the Load E’s and you cannot wear them out. They’re even pretty good traction off road.
