I'm trying to decipher your post but are you saying you put an aftermarket cam in your engine? If so thats whats killing your gas mileage. Go back to your stock cam. If thats not the case then have you verified fuel consumption with scan gauge or measured fuel input? Maybe you gauge is bad.

I like how you still threw a couple commas in there for style.

Guys, he asked for help with his truck, not his grammar.

    Does it backfire when coasting?

He asked for help with his truck but yeah, his grammar is begging for it.

How gallons do you get out of your tank OP? Have you measured your MPG recently?

    Hello,

I have a 2005 2.7 taco and I am getting poor gas mileage. It’s not leaking anywhere that I can tell, no codes and doesn’t lose power or anything. I am not driving crazy or accelerating more than normal but I can’t go 15 miles without losing an 1/8 of a tank of fuel. It has a new cold air filter (we assume CAI), MAF sensor, air/fuel sensor, timpkin bearing up front. The brakes do not seem to be malfunctioning. I did put some cam 2 in the motor to clean everything but that didn’t work. My truck is used to tow for my group and it never gave me this problem until after the recall (what recall) and Toyota couldn't do anything about it so I am reaching out to you guys. I want to keep the old girl on the road.

I would start here. If you have a bunch of miles on your plugs this can cause bad milage. Also some cheap gas burns quick also. Just a thought.

What recall did Toyota do to the truck? If it was fine before this and bad after please elaborate.

And if you're talking about getting crappy mileage when you're towing idk what to tell you. Its a little Toyota. It doesn't even get good mileage to begin with, let alone while towing. Especially the 2.7- not meant for towing.
