I have a 2010 TRD Sport with General Grabber AT/2 tires and have been quite pleased with them. I just ordered my 2020 TRD Off-Road (white 4 door) yesterday and need to tell the dealer which tires I'll drive off the lot.

Most of my driving is on-road and thus having decent handling, low noise, and long wear is important. That said, I frequently find my self on range roads, forest service roads, and some unmaintained roads getting into the places I like to explore/hunt/shoot/fish/etc. Also, having something that deals with wet and snow well on both pavement and dirt is a must.

There are a few I'm considering, all in 265/75/16:

    - General Grabber AT/2 (I've been satisfied with mine)
    - General Grabber ATx (I think these are the new ones)
    - BFG KO2 (lots of people seem to like these)
    - Yoko Geolnader G015 (have a set on the Crosstrek and I cannot complain... but they are probably the least aggressive of the lot)

I'm curious any pros / cons of the above. I need to make a decision before end of week.

Thanks all and glad to have a reason to be back posting here!

Falken Wildpeaks get good reviews from most of the people who run them, great reviews from the people I know personally.

The BFG KO2 are supposedly terrible in the rain. Is 265/75/16 the 2020 OEM size for a TRD Off Road? My '19 are 265/70/16.

I’m not sure what the OEM tires are. My local dealer is supposed to have one delivered tomorrow and I plan to go take a look. I believe the 265/75/R16 is the biggest you can go without modification and I plan on trying that out right away.

Also, I’ve heard that about the KO2s as well. I might just stick with Generals as I’ve had previous great success.

Are you going to run one set year round or get a winter set too?

It would be cool if they put oversized tires on for you. Please let us know.

G015's are sad. They don't do justice to an offroad model.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I have this narrowed down to two:

    General Grabber A/Tx
    General Grabber X3

I'm really curious how the road sound compares between the A/T 2 (which I have now), the A/Tx, and the X3.

I would go ATX. The X3 will likely suck on winter roads.

its a good shop, I’m getting money for my take offs, and a vet discount. Don’t worry... I’ll check my math.
