What kind of trimming/CMC is needed for 285/70-r17 w/ 3" toytec lift

I have a 07 access cab with a 3" toytec lift, stock UCA's and 1.25" apidertrax spacers. I just put a set of nitro ridge grapplers 285/70-R17 tires on. Could anyone that has relatively the same setup tell me what sort of trimming or CMC they did to get rid of the rubbing?

 

1. get some UCA's drive ability will drastically improve... I bet your hitting coil with UCA.

2. For that setup you will need cab mount chop, pinch weld flattening, inner fender trimming or removal.


Those that say you dont need to do all that never flex their truck more than the curb at the mall.

 

I appreciate it. I was looking at the SPC adjustable UCA's. You were right. I am hitting the coil at full extention. Roughly how much does a CMC and pinch weld flattening cost?

 

ping weld flattening = free if you have a BFH

Cab mount chop can also be minimal if you have the tools to do so.

I do have another question, are the UCA's necessary to get rid of all rubbing? I am on a tight college-budget but can spare some cash if absolutely needed.

 

I'd do UCAs before the CMC...especially if you're on a budget. With the UCAs you can get a proper alignment so your tires last longer.

Plus, if you don't wheel then, as @nd4spdbh inferred, you might get away with no CMC and minimal rubbing.
