The cam straps are the best, there is less chance of over touring them and deforming the hull.
Just try a couple twists anywhere the wind will hit it. Should 99% solve the problem.

 

Has anyone routed a cb antenna cable thru the back of the cab to a tailgate mount?

Yes, did you drill thru rear of cab or is there a place to fish the cable thru? How did you run the cable?

 

Under the carpet there are a slew of rubber grommets a couple inches in diameter. You can route it through one of those and run it back along the frame rail. Then put a little silicone where the cable goes through the grommet.

For the tailgate side, you can undo the tail light, fish up the cable, and then rebolt the light. The cable can squeeze through the upper corner gap.
