I saw 7.3l box truck with a 40+ foot box for sale pretty cheap, that could have been an interesting crawler hauler project. My neighbors would murder me for that one though

Anyone interested in running Holy Cross this Sunday 9/22? Myself and a friend with a 4Runner are going, and hoping to find another one or two trucks to join us

Weathertech floor mats, Bilstein 5100s front/rear, TSB leaf springs, Pioneer head unit, Mini D2S headlight retrofit.
I picked up the Taco tonight, new leaf springs are on and it rides a lot better. The dealer informed me that the LCAs are seized, so it sounds like I need new alignment cams along with new bushings.

No experience with LCAs... what is the best way to do this? The dealer wanted 1772.60 for new LCAs, other parts, and labor. I declined that of course. Is there a good aftermarket LCA brand that is also affordable? Place here in Denver that specializes in these? I'm not going to fork out 1700 bucks but I do want a good reliable setup.

Two hard parts to the job. Getting the LCA out of the vehicle, then the harder part of getting the bushings out of the LCA. Get a sawzall with quality (read expensive) metal blades, then you can cut through the cam adjuster sleeves/bolts that are stuck and they whole thing will drop out. The bushing are hard to remove as the exterior is metal and they tend to seize to the LCA. You can sometimes use a bottle jack to pop the bushing out. If they're really stuck, some people have success with a torch to get things to free up, but it didn't work for me. I ended up using the nuclear option and using an air hammer, chisel and the sawzall to cut the bushing interior out, score the exterior wall, then drove it out with the air hammer. Was super frustrating at the time (I tried a lot of the intermediate steps), but having done it once, wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

If you don't want to deal with removing and replacing the bushing, you can get new LCAs and only have to deal with removing the old LCAs.

Do you know exactly what is seized? The OEM bushings aren't that cheap, though there's some replacements out there, some of which reuse the metal exterior of the bushing (you have to melt the rubber out).

I think the alignment cams are seized and possibly other parts. They didn't give me a detailed explanation.

This job sounds like a pain in the orifice. I might be better off getting new LCAs but not sure what brand/type.

Myself and @Shellshock are still in Colorado for a few days if anyone wants to meet up.

Heading toward the sand dunes tomorrow.
Today we did Saints John and Deer Creek. Saints John was so cool. We wanted to do Red Cone but ran out of time.
Yesterday we did Loch Lomond, super awesome trail.

Nice! Can't wait for some pictures.

Dog had been limping around all day until I grilled up some pork tenderloin...

...wow, suddenly she was a superstar. Until the meat was gone.

    Back to the sads.

    Doing Medano?

Does your truck qualify for a frame replacement?
    The reason being is that
New LCA’s are included with the frame

my truck is pretty much stock height, armored, on 35s with a locked rear and stock gears. I think we'd be pulling a lot of line to winch it over everything lmao

    This and that...
I installed my lift with the help of a friend. Noticed this issue and sure enough, the guys doing the alignment told me the same thing. Fortunately they were able to get ok numbers, but I want to take care of this at some point.

There were some guys here in CO taking on TW offering services but no store front, doing it as a side business. I'll try and find them.
