I know everyone remembers where they were on 9/11/01

I was walking into a world history class my sophomore year of college...prof. had seen it on the news prior to coming to class

he sent us all back to our dorms to watch the unfolding events

I'm interested to hear where everyone else was

I was in a car headed to Sea-Tac airport in Seattle. We didn't have the radio on cuz we were just talking as a family...When we got down to the airport it was freaking chaos. My dad found a back way in and dropped me off, in the process someone said there had been a terrorist attack. We turned on the radio in time to here the announcer say the first tower just collapsed. I was headed to Atlanta, GA and then WA/Dulles after that. Needless to say, I didn't go on my trip.

Getting ready to go to school in Seattle, watching it on TV, I was really in disbelief, went to school, had a lockdown all day.

some of this, a little of that
Sitting on the couch putting my shoes on getting ready to go to work. My Dad called and told me to turn on the TV. When I got into work we wached it on TV. Saw the towers fall. That is a moment that will be forever in my mind :( It was one of those things that did not seem real a the time.

    Sleeping.

My Mum came in and told me that a plane had crashed into the World trade center and I was like "And...?"
I then proceeded to roll over and go back to sleep.

Before I get an Inet verbal beating two things.

1: I don't do mornings. Seriously. If the house was burning at 0600, I would honestly have to mull it over as to whether to get out of bed or just lay there and get real toasty.
2: I had never heard of the World Trade Center before that day, let alone where it was; and at that point in time, nobody knew it was an act of terrorism so I wasn't exactly about to fly out of bed and glue my ass to the TV.
After the fact though I was like "God damn..."

Feels like it was just yesterday.

bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
I was at work, it was about 8 o'clock central time and this one nurse walks past us and says " a plane just crashed into the world trade centre" the way she said it was so nonchalant, I totally blew it off. That didn't last too long after we turned on the tv.

I was in 6th grade, getting in the car to go to school. I heard my sisters talking with my mom about it and then they explained it to me. I remember not really understanding what was going on until I got to school and we watched the news all day.

I just got out of first period World Civilization, heading to Mr. Kellers English class when someone came out of the library and told our class. We turned on the TV in class to see the second tower go down.

We had just built a new house and the satellite tv guy was installing the dish/ receiver that morning. When he first turned the system on to check the picture and sound quality, the first tower had just been hit. At that point, the talking heads on the news networks were questioning wether or not it was pilot error... asking how a pilot could have made such a grave mistake. The satellite tv tech pretty much stopped the install at that point and we both sat there and watched.

I was in middle school and saw the teachers watching it on the tv. I thought it was an action movie like chuck norris since I could only see it from a distance.

They didn't tell us at school. But we got released early and my parents told me when I got home.
