If I find dead hoverboats, and such in the garage tomorrow, I'll be sure NOT to let you all know!

I'm getting tired of these night flights. They're interfering with my beer time.

I think it has been tossed, but I can't get to that cabinet yet! :anonymous: The rubber float was disintegrating last time I saw it. Fun for kids in the pool!

Most people seem to be into the cars. I get it. And I think that they are cool.
Heli's seem to be the least attractive. And I get that too. Expensive and hard to fly.
I tried the Race Quad's. They are expensive too with the FRV goggles. But I couldn't handle the FPV goggles without getting motion sick. So now I fly the quad "Line-of-Sight". And goggles collect dust.
I would really like to try the Camera Quads. Expensive, and possibly a commercial market? But license and Reg's for commercial use could be a PITA. And, not really sure how much I would use a Camera Platform.

I have always wanted to fly a heli r/c, but lots to learn and it’s just has happened. As of late like most I guess, I have turned my interest but have yet to purchase is a drone. I like the idea of it and the basic ease of flight. I would also be able to utilize on some of our trail runs and just adventures.

The DJI's are easy to fly (IF you set them up correctly AND let the computer do the flying). If you try to fly them without computer assist, JUST DON'T. Quads and Helis fly almost identical if you don't use computer assist.
I really like the vids that people post from vacations and beautiful places. I would love to be able to do that myself. But you really need to invest in a decent quality Quad. The cheep quads work reasonably well. But "I" wouldn't settle for anything less than a DJI.

Nice young kid that droned our roof for solar company - got laid off at Alcoa more than once, and went in to commercial drone. He is FAA licensed, stays really busy, makes more (course he is his own company), and makes more money doing weddings(!) than the real estate and solar roof he advertised to. I have thought about it!

It weighs "Heavy" on my mind. Especially since I "Kinda" have a jump-start. I've looked at the FAA requirements. Doesn't really look that bad. You do need to know how to read Sky Charts though. And I kinda struggle with them because of mild color blindness. I personally believe that the field is still Wide Open. Lots of money to be made.

He said it was not that bad, just lots of time being consumed when he was working - said it got easier second time he was off work and finished it out. Affordable, is all he said. I got some pix. His current drone was one that cost about $1200 at the time, because he needed computer and GPS mapping, all done off his phone. He really wanted a $5K unit, but would have to wait. I am linking my solar adventure!

Like my guy with the phone and GPS. Once it knows all that, you are a tour guide! Hard to get there maybe, but it was a breeze for him to actually do it!

Oh I could most likely figure it out, but I need to study up for some other things first, one day.
