How many switches do I need?

I am thinking of adding a switch panel. I can't figure out how many spots will I needing in the long run. I see panel with 2, 3 going all the way up to 8.

I'm curious for those with these switches, how many do you end up using on your Tacoma?

How many things are you going to throw on the truck that require switches? Or is the switch panel just another sweet overland accessory now?

Like the usefulness of that LSP7, but after seeing the hacking you have to do, I'll stick with my factory 6 panel!

 

Bought a 2-switch panel. Used one for my ditch lights and for the other haven’t really thought about it. Possibly a front cam, light bar, or F you lights for "tailgaters" but for now I put a blank one in it.

I've added 2 switches. One for the bed lights, and one for the front camera. I used existing blank spots, and have one spot left.

 

Don't forget the beer light in the bed. For use only when parked for the night.

 

You forgot the Disco ball.

I really think it's gonna need a smoke machine too.

 

I could have gotten by with six. Four was too few.

The hacking isn't too bad, esp if you don't remove all the trim pieces. Just work it in place.

@mesojdm makes aftermarket switch panels for Tacos. You can add a bunch of switches if you can get your hands on his panels.

 

Don't push that! It causes an ID10T error...
