Yeah, I got the truck I wanted with a few options added on. I wanted a TRD Off Road 2WD (yeah, I know) in Quicksand. It was a pretty tough find considering the limited Tacomas in Quicksand and even more limited number of Off Road models in 2WD.

Wow! Pearson seems like they are in a crunch! Your Cavalry Blue Tacoma is going to be one nice looking rig! Enjoy!

Hell man my Frontier I'm in now is a 2WD. Does the deed just fine! Way too many people knock them. All about learning the tricks! End of the day you're in a Taco!

Congrats on yours as well! Quicksand was my 2nd choice! Lol us East Coasties need to get a Taco meet up. I'm sure tons would turn out lol

Definitely! I get tired of seeing all the Tacoma meets on the west coast. There are enough of us here on the east coast to get together as well. Maybe some day.

Last week I went out of state and bought a 2019 TRD O/R with premium and tech. M.S.R.P. 41,500 got it for 34,500 before TTL fees etc. This is a great time of year to move on the 19s.

I bought a 19 TRD off road 4x4 dbl Cab, tech& premium pkg, jbl, cargo lights, tint, paint protection for 10% off MSRP. Some may say I paid too much. Well I traded a 16 Tacoma 2wd, dbl Cab, V6, with tow pkg & got $27500. I'm happy. This is my 2nd Tacoma from the same Dealer, 3rd Toyota from them. No hassle buying.

$7k discount! You may be the winner!

I don’t have the patience to wait that long. I admire you.

I did horrible job of negotiating, I got my Tacoma yesterday, here is the info:

2019 TRD OR DCSB w/Premium & Tech pkgs, all weateher mats, blackout.
    MSRP $42, 1..
    Negotiated $37,2..
    Paid $38,2.. + TTL with 1.9% TFS.

I couldn't get my bank to pre-approve auto loan in time, so I have to pay $1000 more to get that APR. Oh well, I wanted the truck so bad :-D

I still will always feel like I could have done better and I'm sure there are guys who have. They called me up on Sep 3rd in the evening and said we need to make 1 more sale to hit our monthly numbers and well do 35,500. I said that's great but I'll sleep on it. Immediately they said 34,500. I said I want to keep my factory tonnaue cover from my 16 trade also they said no , I said ok thanks anyways. Then he said fine keep the damn cover. Whatever bonus they were getting must of been decent and i was the guy to put them there.
It was a long hard road. I felt like I did battle with every dealer I delt with. Very frustrating and stressful to say the least.

Can’t call it a $7k discount if a trade is involved.

You can it's the price before the trade.
I negotiate price on the new truck first, then bring in the trade after.
I got them down from 41,500 to 34,500 on the new truck . That's what I got off sticker.
Then I started to talk about my trade and keeping accessories.

    2019 Tacoma SR5 V6 Crew RWD MSRP $33258
    $29,114 After discounts and rebate

    total with fees/tax: 32,068.17

Is this a good deal? I've read a lot about the TRD sport and OR 4x4 but havent seen too much of the Sr5 prices.

    Thanks!

Sorry, I don’t believe you would have gotten this without your trade.

I didn’t think the trade had anything to do with discounted sales price. Trade-in value (equity) is calculated in line items after the discounted sale price.

    Exactly
This was the price I negotiated before I even brought up my trade. It was a large volume dealer , according to them the biggest in the nearest 5 states. Last day of the sale month and I drove 6 hours to pick it up. I wasnt driving that far unless it was an amazing deal. I probably drove past 50 other dealers to buy from these guys. They were knocking off over 9 grand on new Tundras. Dont waste your time with small dealers.

Seriously? Everybody knows dealers love trade-ins. They profit on both transactions and shift it to make the customer feel good.

Is this shift upfront on the bill of sale or on the back end?
