My guess is the property went to the family. The T/A was Grandpa's, he passed on. Grandma kept it there, she passed and now the family owns it. Just a wild guess though. It looks solid but I've never seen the other side. If I ever see anybody there, doubtful, I'll stop. In my dreams the owner just says you haul it off you can have it LOL

Exposure on the sky looks good.

I usually want a subject in the foreground when shooting interesting skies or something silhouetted as the subject. Good skies are always good, but better when you have a subject to focus on.

I agree with what @Breezy said. It's nice to have something / someone in the foreground especially if you want a nice depth of field in the shot.

Obviously not an entry since it's not my shot:

    Here is your original shot

And here is an edited shot. Obviously working with a jpeg there is no way to pull out much information. But this is just a quick edit to pull some of the foreground into view to kind of make it look like the sun is bouncing off the hill you are standing on and adjusting the WB just a little bit. Cropped a little bit of the headroom off the top also. But by doing that with a jpeg it compresses the photo a little more so you lose some detail in the picture that would normally remain with an original RAW file.

    You're welcome!

Here is a color version from a few seconds before the other one was taken. Crazy sunrise while duck hunting a pond in a horse pasture.
