2019 Formula 1 Season Paddock

Aside from Brundle, they have Ant, PDR, Karun (who I like btw), Nico, Damon Hill, Johnny Herbert, and Jenson. I think they are well (too much) covered by former drivers. Part of what I liked from the old crew was Matchett. His perspective as a former mechanic was unique and insightful. Sky should drop one of the above and add in someone with the technical background like Matchett had.

 

I like Karun as well as PDR and Anthony Davidson. I'd like to keep those dudes around and integrate back into Matchett and Hobbs. Edit: and Buxton!

I don't care either way. I got used to the Speed Channel/NBC crew but they weren't great. The Sky crew isn't great but they are growing on me. I don't care for Rosberg at all. I miss the Buxton pit walk though. I wouldn't mind a Yanet Garcia type having some screen time. It's a total sausage fest atm.

 

Rosberg really needs to go. Can barely stand to listen to him and its harder when watching the words come out of his smug little face.

Hobbs was funny , Machett was repetitive and annoying and so was Diffey .

Will Buxton is great . I also used to enjoy F1 Debrief on Speed channel .

i like Ted Kravitz , Karun Chandok is OK

Rosberg should stick to German TV , I like Martin Brundle

Did Shal Eclair's Monza win save Binotto's job? I hadn't read anything about him being on the bubble beforehand but I'm guessing he was.

 

I'm starting to think Vettel is in the hot seat more so than Binotto.

 

My brother and I were just discussing how much we would love to see Ricciardo take Vettel's seat. Daniel's driving style suits the current state of the Ferrari better than Seb. Seb is a master of controlling and a race from the front in a dominant car as evidenced by his time at Red Bull. He doesn't seem to have the temperament to challenge for the lead from behind. He gets the red mist too frequently and makes self-inflicted mistakes. Ricciardo can race for wins from behind, plus I think the Tifosi would love him to death.

 

I would love that.

I said that Leclerc would be WDC this year in the same manner, as soon as I heard he was getting the ride. We'll see if you do better than me! And who knows, Leclerc still might end up second. He's got the bit between his teeth now. Bottas better keep an eye in his mirrors.

Vettel is toast, unless he gets his act together. IMESHO that ain't happening but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. With apologies to Alonso-istas I hope a young driver gets a chance at whatever F1 seat opens up should he get the boot. There is a lot of good talent languishing in lesser cars right now.

Well yea, but Magnussen was already set until 2020. Grosjean was the one with the expiring contract
