Stock they look wierd but larger tires, a little lift, and a canopy has me in love with the look. I'd prefer the all-black canopy and a hard top but this looks slick.

I’ve only seen rubicons out and about. Has anyone seen a more base model in the flesh yet? I know around here the Rubis are going for a premium.

Edit - I’m in The camp that likes them btw. I don’t like them more, I think I’d take them behind the Tacoma/Ranger/Colorado, but I do like them. Honestly the mid size truck market is killing it right now I think regardless of which brand you prefer. I’m a Ford guy but I was in love with the look of the Taco, but I honestly liked them all equally when I was shopping earlier this year.

The base model with Soft Top looks Fugly. But it can be improved.

For me, I like the looks of the Tacoma, but the real deal maker is the potential for reliability, and longevity so a Fiat/ Jeep is out.

Yikes, I'm pretty ashamed now lol. I corrected my post. They make good supercars and welders. But it's kind of funny how the cheese, wine, and beer statements still apply. Never has a good Italian beer I liked. I haven't sampled 100s but I've had a few.

I just saw a commercial for a gladiator for only $43,000! Holy cow! I missed the gold plating in the ad but it must be there for that price!

I saw one on the highway with dealer tags so obviously stock. The rear of the gladiator just didn't look right with the bed. Im sure as others said with mods it could have a better stance, but a hard pass for me.

Yeah. I know what you mean. I think a lot of what Lexus is doing with their really angry front ends may not age well. Seems like a car needs to have a real nice balance of curves and sharp angles to age well. Really no curves whatsoever on the Gladiator.

Now that is cool. I've been anxious to see a Gladiator in real life with a topper. I think that might look killer if it's done right.

Yes I saw a base model two days ago. It looked really weird. The tires and wheels were way too small for the fenders. This Rubicon is much better in that regard.

Very true, I thought they look a bit off too. It's weird how manufacturers are getting carried away with trying to out-do each other as far as extreme looks go. I'm a huge BMW fan and love many things about them, but their new giant kidney grills look like they were designed on crack.

I'm sorry I just don't like the looks of the Jeep, it looks so dated. The Tacoma however is the best looking midsize truck on the road. The new Ranger looks like a spin off of the Colorado.

I have always like the look of the wrangler, but I hate the gladiator's proportions. I like the 2dr 2 seat, and 2+2 concepts, but the 4dr looks awful with a bed IMO.

As it was for my neighbor's son too. He ended up leasing his for what he said was a really good deal. Apparently Jeep is expecting really strong resale values (no surprise there) and is offering surprisingly good deals for leases. He said he wasn't sure he'd like it enough to pay that much and keep it long term for whatever reason.

A well-equipped Rubicon, with a hardtop, 8-speed automatic, leather seats and navigation, can exceed $60,000. So yeah, it’s still quite a bit more than a Pro.
