    A lot of people I know have retired up there. Montana, Wyoming and Idaho.

    Edit: I don't think they took much of California with them. They were ready to leave that nightmare behind.

    Yep, but way cheaper than California. I could never afford to get into a house there. Listings don't last and usually turn into a bid war. Super inflated markets.

    The house I'm in would go for 1 1/2 to 2 times what I paid...easily.

    Yep, had an Air Force buddy, mil to mil couple owned house outside Travis AFB. Wanted to stay, but taxes after military retirement were gonna kill them. They bought an apple orchard back home in West Virginia instead.

    Good morning :wave:
    I've fished Russian River with a pair of 2yo brown bears fishing the other side directly across from us. Very cool experience I'll remember forever. As long as there were fish in the river, the bears weren't paying us any mind.

    Kristi and I want to do a Katmai trip one Summer, probably wait a few more years and take grandkids when they're a little older.
