I think it was a handle to a knife. Not the strangest in the thread, but I was shocked when I yanked it out.

Damn! There's some good and interesting pics in this thread. I'll add one of mine to it too :). Happened earlier this year. It took me two vise grips and lots of struggling to pull that thing out. I put like 4 plugs in it and still managed to get a couple days of driving before it was loosing air too fast and plugs were working themselves out. Fortunately the new tire arrived just in time.

How much weight did you have on those tires / or what was that tire on that made a rock do that?

It was a 10 ton dump truck. Refinishing a new gravel road. I thought I had an air line leak at first lol.

There was a post on expedition portal not too long ago of a dude getting a flat after running over a 7.62x39 AK round somewhere in the south american jungle. Went bullet first all the way through the rubber and the casing (still with primer ) was just riding down the road like a rock in the treads until it eventually went flat.

Got lucky. My luck a rock would have tripped the primer, and taken out a wheel bearing, hub, rotor and caliper as well as the tire.

Usually happens when your pants fit a little "too" snug and you have nowhere else to put em.
