Why trim it when you could just take it off?

Super easy install. Took me a sec to figure out which bolts were for which holes on the reinforcement brackets but pretty easy to figure out.

Alright finally got this beast on today. I am a total amateur and probably messed something up but it's on right

So once the bumper is off you'll need to remove the crash bar. Mine was a little stuck and the mallet wasnt doing the job. I looked close and the top bolts were pushed against the sides and holding it in place. So I grabbed the ratchet strap and squeezed the help out of it. It came right off once I did.
    20190915_081419.jpg

At this time I'd recomend cleaning the frame plate. Mine was pretty muddy and gross.
From there take the bottom bolts out and pull these little rectangle pieces out. One of mine slid right out the other needed a little smack with the mallet then came right out

    20190915_081639.jpg
There are some tabs on the frame that you will need to take out where the bolts for the frame supports will go through. (Dont be like me and get everything mounted and aligned to figure out you missed it and have to redo it all) also you'll want to cut the hooks where the factory skid plates go
    20190915_085407.jpg I'm
now it was time to mount the bumper. I recomend grabbing a friend or two to help. I did this on my own and yes it was manageable but kinda a bitch and would have been easier to help line the bumper up
    20190915_084034.jpg
From there I put the frame supports on and dry fitted the bolts. The 2 shorter bolts go through the top. The bottom bolt uses a small washer on the end. The long bolt goes through the back bottom hole. (That didnt line up right away until I tightened everything up. Also you'll want to drop the swaybar to have easier access to the bottom bolt.)
    20190915_114310.jpg
Once you get it all dry fitted it's time to line your bumper up with the grill and fenders. I used the width of my fingers as a reference. If I'm not mistaken it's about 1/2" gap to allow body flex. Once you get it in place it's time to tightened everything down. Then you are done.

    *extra notes for fiberglass guys*

I have 2" fiberglass fenders so the process of me was a little more difficult. I had to take the bumper off and shave a little off of the fenders where the headlight mounts. After that I was golden.
    20190915_092353.jpg
The full hoop does hit a little but nothing that I cant live with.

Hope this write up helps some of you not make stupid mistakes that I made and saves yall some time

Oh there was a bolt here. Now I understand why yours slid out and mine wouldn't budge (so I cut it)..... :anonymous:

You have options in mind yet? Both standard and high clearance models? Swing-out options?

    Thanks man!
