What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

No I’m not going bigger for now. My 35’s rub at full lock on the cab mount so this will fix that and give me more freedom

 

Gotcha. I am LT which pushes them forward about an inch so that makes a big difference.

 

How do they mount to the roof of your truck? Do you have to drill any holes? Want to make sure it's removable if I don't like it. Looks great though

@FreshPots do you have to pull the factory seat covers to install the Clazzio? Or are they a tight slip over.

 

Yeah makes sense. Here’s my current situ. Castor is 4.5+ and 3.5+

 

Yeah that’s about as far as you can go without relocating it.

 

Hence me picking up this kit at a moments notice! Crazy story. On my local AZ TW some dude commented on another guys post saying he had a relocation kit. I PM’d him and it has been collecting dust in his garage for 2 years

New head unit installed today also and Ebay knobs

 

They're a tight slip cover. Best looking covers IMO. I've had them on my last 2 trucks.

 

Slapping these on right now. found my squeak while under the truck someone replaced the leaf springs and put the bolt on backwards and it runs on the frame, question is can I just unbolt the bottom off and muscle it down ? Or do I have to remove the whole assembly?

I had the same thing happen once. You can move it out of the way while still bolted in but remember that the springs will be under load so you'll have to jack up the truck to take the weight of the springs. Once you lift the truck , the shackle should rotate forward enough to get the bolt out.

Lining it back up might be a bear with everything attached so if you don't get lucky, you'll either have to get creative or loosen the ubolts and/or front leaf mounting bolt.

 

Could he try removing the bolt and grinding off a little bit? That would stop the rubbing without having to pull the other bolts. Just wondering.
