    @Armyhater458 @Redmann

    Alright gentlemen, I met Jim today and he handed the tires off to me.

    20190918_220351~2.jpg

    They'll be safe in the bed of my truck. We have a motion and sound activated security system that is only off during the day if we're home and active outside.

    I'm meeting Reds this Sunday up at the Cabela's at the Christiana Mall at noon.

    Mornin' Dave. Yup, picked up a 5 cam Pro 2 system from Costco on sale last year. I run it through a Verizon cellular MiFi & wifi range extender (for the ethernet connection). It works great. We bought it because we have a inground pool with an 8' deep end and recently had neighbors move in with younger boys. We just wanted to be sure if they were anything like I was at their age we could prevent a possible tragedy. Boys will be boys.

    Those tires look great. How many miles are on them? Any off road miles? Looks like a great on road tire with a lot of wet traction.

    Edit - Annnd I asked you a lot of questions about Mikes tires by mistake. I'm burnt out.

    I've run an E rated mud tire for the last 4 years. I am not going to know what to do without all the road noise, and a little more give in the sidewall. Also hoping I don't put a rock through the side of one right from the beginning. I've never really messed with rocks, and they scare/intrigue the hell out of me.

    AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I NEED A Fn MAP OF THESE EXPRESS'S!!!! Sorry Mike, meant to put you up there in the post (fixed now) with Reds. I just have too much shit going on all the time!!!!!

    Well, when I get the steelies and throw the ST Maxx on those my Ridge Grapplers will be replaced with something more road friendly. I like Nitto a lot. I'm not opposed to Cooper, Goodyear, and Pro Comp though.

    Not liking the ridge grapplers? I was considering changing my AT2's to those in the spring on my DD. Problem is they only have 285/75/16 in C or E and I need at least a D. Not sure about an E

    I've been pretty happy with my dick cepek extreme country. I have about 30000 miles on them and still pretty decent tread life. They are loud and like to throw stones though. Handle pretty well in most situations, so far ice is the only time i've not had comfortable traction, but without studs nothing will perform great on ice. I've been interested in Nitto for a while, but don't know anyone that has run them. I considered the MAXX when I bought my last set. Mixed reviews lead me elsewhere. Some love them and swear they last 80,000 miles. Others hate them and state 40,000. In the end i took a chance on the dick cepeks, and overall I'd buy them again if i ran across the same deal.

    My father in law has the Nittos and likes them. Ice/snow is less of an issue because I run dedicated snows to plow.

    Oh, they have been great, but they are more of an off road tire if you ask me. I haven't been to the Nitto site in a while but when I started researching them all they had were E in the 265/70r17. When I finally bought them they had the E and C. The weight difference was like 4 lbs and at 37 psi the sidewall of the E flexes just fine. Road noise id minimal even with 30k miles on them. I can tell they are getting a little harder but not much. I only rotate them every 5k miles too. They are great tires and I would recommend them to anyone for anything but they did reduce my MPGs because of the weight of them and the wheels combined. Pushing like 80ish lbs. A lot for a 31" tire if you ask me. The wheels are 24 lbs though. Just checked my notes, had these installed June 22, 2017 with almost 2k miles on the clock.

    Here's a recent pic at 32k + miles. I have at least half the tread left. I also do not drive normally, but have never been off road with them.

    My AT2's are 86# ea mounted. I'll look closer to the spring to see if D rated comes out. If not, E's it'll most likely be for towing. Maybe I'll do the daily driver mod by then, but I doubt it. Depends on the boss getting herself a new car and she's not keen on spending the $

    Ahh, yea, not much love for the 16's. Which is odd because that is the second most popular size if you ask me, or maybe even the first.
