The 2020 TRD Sport DCSB manual price is $52,767.27 CAD tax-in for a Cash purchase in Ontario.

In 2016, you could order the same truck without the Premium package (no leather, moonroof, Qi charging etc..) for approx $42K all-in on the road.

So it's gone up $10K since I started saving, and they've added so much extra crap I don't want to pay for... so I've all but resigned myself to not buying a new one anymore, I just can't stomach paying that kind of money even if would keep the truck for a decade or more. Trouble is a used 2016 with 40-50k on can still asking for MSRP 4 yrs later!!!!! because of how much Toyota Canada has jacked the price on a new one.

Can you pick up a heavily discounted 2019 while they are still on lots?

Try not to settle for less if you know you are going to have it ten years. I'm probably going to have to pay an extra 4 thousand for the auto seats my 60 year old butt and back want.
Over ten years it's like paying a little more then a dollar a day to get the vehicle of "Choice"

I'm with you there! I keep my vehicles long term and therefore I want everything I can get on it possible to maximize its usefulness in that time. It may not seem like a big deal to give up a few things now, but I don't want to have to trade it in in a few years because it is missing the goodies.

It sounded before though like you weren't impressed with the new additions for 2020, so I thought a cheaper 2019 might suit you good enough and save you some money. Good luck in your search!

2019 TRD Sport 6-spd in Canada all come with a moonroof and no power seat, so sadly headroom is a concern. At least the 2020 power seat will lower a bit, which may be enough to consider a model with a moonroof. Gotta sit in one first to make sure. Otherwise price doesn't matter if I can't get comfortable in it. If I could live with an Automatic, I'd buy a DCSB TRD Off Road, since it still has no moonroof as far as I can tell.... but I really want the manual.

Wait, you can't get a manual AT ALL in a OR in Canada?

And the Double Cab TRD Pro, which is technically an Off Road with a Pro Package (which can finally be ordered without the Desert Air Intake).

I put down a 2k deposit on a DC TRD Off Road in Quicksand on April 30th. I changed my order on Tuesday (as soon as the online configurator was available) and added the premium package.
The ETA of my 2020 4X4QSDC6ASBTRDOR o_O is End of October.

The $3k premium package in Canada includes
    • Power tilt/slide Moonroof
    • Wireless Charging
    • Blind Spot Monitor System
    • Multi Terrain View Monitor
    • Leather Seats
Which makes it a $55k+ (Canadian Dollarettes, taxes in) truck (which is about $41,500 in US$)

6 months has been a long wait. I could no longer wait, so I ordered a Truxedo Tonneau Cover on Amazon yesterday, my first 'mod'. They are in sale

Complete horsesh*t that you can't order LEDs separately in Canada.

A fully loaded 2019 Tacoma OR pushed in to the 43000 range. Which pushed it in to Pro's MSRP price range.

So... if anybody at Toyota reads this:

We, the very niche group at tacomaworld want OPTIONS. More of them. A lot more. Like... at least half of what's available on the Tundra.

My Christmas list is a TRDOR, access cab, premium & advanced tech, and a utility package for the rear (Replace sliding rear window with a single solid pane, remove back seats and replace with a blank panel). And ventilated seats.

That would make me sad. Planning on getting a DCSB OR with 6MT myself. Probably would end up upgrading to a Pro to get it if I couldn't get an OR that way. All I can say from South Canada (aka MN), is "I'm sorry"...

Can you get a Pro without the dumb snorkel there now? I thought that was coming mandatory on them in the great white north? If not, glad they are at least giving you guys that option.

My wish would be to allow for custom orders with just the options I want, not big ass packages with a bunch of stuff I don’t want.

    Wishes and dreams are free.

I am actually not sad with the available options offered in Canada. It least now we can opt out the silly snorkel when choosing a Pro and we are able to choose leather and a moon roof in an OR. This was not the case for the 2019's
Sadly no possibility to choose for LED headlights on a OR or Sport, but that might be a good thing in the snowy conditions we have here. I heard that led's struggle to melt snow and ice in our harsh winters.
And I already spent way to much $ :canada:

I configured a 2020 limited On Toyotas web site. The Limited option no longer shows. Is it not available?

The conifgurator only shows what is currently available in your region (and maybe what is allocated to be there soon). Try changing the zip code to elsewhere in the country and you'll see them. They aren't going away or anything, no worries.
